i downgraded to PC8 (March update) the April update PD1 / PD3 gives me battery drain issue so i switched back to PC8.

I'm totally ignorant of this issue. Does the same software not come in everybody's S7? Why would you replace (?)/ add(?) another software?

G-935F is the product code of S7edge international

They are mostly different for each carrier and csc code. type in *#1234# to see your code and which firmware you are on. I have the BTU csc code which is the unbranded UK version which does not have any carrier bloats.

check this website and search your carrier
    http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-G935F/

if you looked at it the U.K. (BTU) one already released 3 firmware updates compared to the likes of Ireland Vodafone (VDI) who only had 2 updates.

In short the reason people buy the unbranded versions is because it does not contain any carrier add ons which fills the storage, it can also accept any sim cards (open line) & because it updates faster than any carrier i.e. Vodafone, Three or even Meteor.

Excellent. I don't understand CSC and BTU codes, but I will with a few googles. My phone will be here on Monday so I'll be back with more questions no doubt.

New S7 just arrived in the middle of the day with Nightline courier. That should keep me distracted for the next few hours/years. Be back with questions shortly.

When I open the S7 and choose to restore apps from my old phone from 2 days ago (it identified that phone, and asked if I wanted to restore from it- see 3:20 on this video), where does Galaxy have that information stored as I cleared my old phone 2 days ago yet all the programs are now restored to this new phone?

Also, on my S4 I had a weather/clock/date thing that was always in the background with clouds/sun on the first page. The S7 doesn't appear to have that. Does anybody know what I could download that would be similar?

go to samsung smart switch if you want to transfer all the data from your old mobile to your new s7.

    -Settings
    -Back up and reset
    -Open smart switch

i don't really use weather widgets so can't help you with that

The odd thing is I didn't seem to need Smart Switch as when I clicked 'Restore' (as in that video clip above) everything transferred over, even though I cleared that phone two days ago.

Using the zagg glass contour protector on an s7 edge and it's great. No clicking on it at all. Don't have to worry about scratching the screen anymore. Phew!

[font=verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif]I was messing around with my edge shortcuts and I managed to add a chrome shortcut to it, one the ones I had added to home screen.
But then I accidentally deleted it and can't seem to re add it, any ideas ?.

My new Galaxy S7 loses its internet connection when the phone is left in standby for a few minutes. This only happens on the 5GHz band, 2.4GHz is fine. Is anyone else having this issue?

Download Yahoo weather app and there's one or two nice widgets with that.

How do you change the background on the 'Always On' feature (i.e. the page that has the clock/calendar on with a black background when the phone's on standby)?

When the phone is on standby?

As far as I know, it's not currently possibly to make any changes to it.

Have an upgrade due soon. Can get an S7 for €99 on VF (€60 p/m). Or I could get an S6 for €0 on €40 p/m. I have spent the last year using crappy phones due to not having cash available, and I can't afford to drop a lot of money in one go on a phone, so I'm think the €5 per week extra for the S7 isn't so bad, and it would have a much better resale value in like 12 months than an S6.

    Opinions?
