Mosiac Tile Cracked - Fixable?

Hi,

Does anyone know if it would be possible to replace a single (cracked) mosaic tile. We have quite a few spares left over after the [expletive] who put them up cracked one, and successfully patched it with grout until he had driven away with our money.

Each tile in the net measures about 2cm*10cm - it's only one of them that's cracked.

yes it can be cut out and another one fixed in its place but the cure could be worse than the disease
so its 20 mm by 100mm?

Yeah - 20x100.

You think that there is a good chance it could end up looking worse? (even if done by a decent tiler etc)

Well, yes because it has to be removed, and the netting will end up being cut and probably the tile cement at the back removed also.
Then its a question of judging the amount of gunk required to re bed it, get it 100% flush with the rest and have it correctly orientated gap wise all the way around: it needs a bit of care and attention...if it were a small tile say 20 by 20, which we have I would say fine but the bigger the tile, the harder, I think it would be...

hi o.p. you could do it yourself tbh its needs to be removed and the adhesive behind it and then replaced and grouted if your not confident get someone in to do it,
