Taking the day off altogether, Heading into pub for the Spain v Czech Republic match around 1 to get warmed up for the match all of Europe has been waiting for! Shane Long to get two goals and Zlatan to fall on his arse in the 2nd minute and straight to the hospital for the rest of it

I see the French government have banned all alcohol sales and alcohol in fan zones and around the stadium on match days, the day before match days, and in fanzones. They can also prevent bars and cafes from serving drinks in terraces and outdoors in containers that can be used as missiles.

Not sure that that means, that bars and cafes around the ground can still serve on the day before and on match day, or that the ban on certain containers is a blanket ban, every day.

This Euros is all about Spain. Been shovelling it on them at 11/2, 5/1 the last few weeks. Should be favourites. Up the reds.

We'll give away silly free kicks and that will be our downfall. Very negative I know but Zlatan doesn't even have to play well.
    Go to 0.53.

Meanwhile, I see the Russians are responsible for the pitched battles between English hooligans and Marseille "Ultras"
According to a "source" Russian fans were also responsible for making peace loving Millwall attack Barnsley fans at Wembley only two weeks ago at League 1 play off.

    No?
Everyone knows Millwall supporters wouldn't harm a fly.
Let me see, English fans guzzling 5% beer which they can't handle, abusing locals with harmless and witty chants like .. "if it wasn't for the English you'd be krauts" , throw in an obnoxious and chauvinistic 19th century ditty like "Rule Brittania" , make sure the streets of Marseille are ankle deep in broken bottles and of course it was those evil Russians responsible for ALL the trouble.

Plenty of threads to discuss that, can we stick to the football here? Keep it light-hearted and fun :)

    ^^^ Agree.

What time is throw in? and does Brian O'Driscoll still play for us, he's brilliant.

Ref's throwing the sliothar in at 5 p.m. BOD and ROG are now both coaches of the team, having hung up their gloves a few years ago.

    He's actually a rugby player.

Anyway, good luck to Big Jack and the lads. My prediction is that it'll be a 1:1 draw, with Stapleton scoring the equaliser in the last minute.

'Daim bar' is by far (and I'm not exaggerating here) the nicest and bestest thing in the world.

Even better straight out of the freezer.

Don't have the slightest notion about anything football related, Cant remember last time i watched a full match by choice and i probably couldn't name two players on the team. But just threw 20 on Ireland for the win. Come on lads dont let me down!

I'm not looking forward to Ronnie Whelan on co-commentary.

I'd much prefer Ray Houghton or Jim Beglin.

If Ronnie is commentating then i'll watch it on another channel or on silent.
