Quake 3 models (3d stuiod max)

I this Milkshape 3d is starting totally from scratch and takes too long to make a model, does anyone know any tutorials for 3d studio Max (4 preferably) to make models.

This one's for BF1942 and it's for 3DS MAX5 I think, but it might give you an idea of what's to be done.
