I'm just curious how people found their way to our little home we call boards?

Personally I was introduced to boards by Vertakill after I met him playing on one of the Irish cs servers way back in the summer of 2000.

When the company I work for had an internet cafe, a regular poster worked in the cafe - Spiral. He did many many annoying childish things to me at work as I did to him ;) and I found a webpage open with boards as he went to the toilet.

I posted on boards to annoy the hell out of him.

    *ahem*

I was a USENET regular on alt.stupidity and thought webforums were lame and crap compared to USENET, I was living with Wwman and started reading it after he showed me it.

Now of course, while I occasionally still visit alt.stupidity I think webboards are far superior to USENET.

I used to post on Usenet on ie.comp and ie.general and chat on #Ireland on Undernet. The latter kinda led me to be sharing a house with Lucutus in the city, but when financial problems meant I couldn't afford it any more, I needed to move out. Luc pointed me towards Boards.ie to advertise the room and I've been coming back for over 3 years since.

A little over a year ago my friend and I wanted to get word out about the Whipping Boy website we had set up. So I put a post on cluas.com and he put one up on the Phantom website.

After a few weeks of reading the Phantom threads I began to notice all these other un-pirate-radio-station related links about the place.
