Yes...I know its a CARLOW IT board but seriously do you really think people are going to come on these boards to talk about college work?

Coz I dont think so... any question thats asked about any subject in the It could be placed somewhere else on boards

e.g. "I have prob with Vb...." put in on the programming board!

If it carries on like this I'd say most of the ITC students will get P*****ed off and find another board somewhere else...or even better set up their own board somehow, I'm quite sure those of us who study ASP could make something.

Seeing as you all are new to boards.ie, I'd ask you to please read the boards charter. Boards is a community effort where we all get along swimingly.

I would like to point you at the Newbie board FAQ section: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=45524

Please Read it and all the other things that would be associated with Boards.

Don't bother mods, its there job to clean up after you post links to un-suited material. Who's to deam whats "un-suited"? The community!

If you have a problem take it somewhere else, the last thing boards wants/needs is to have moderators resign because the users become unbareable.

By writing this post I'm risking being, once again, banned from boards but since I want the opportunity to defend myself I'm hoping that moderators won't do this.

The fact that you said that the community decides what is suitable or not defies what has happened to us. Other members argued in vain over with mordeth about Ratman and I being banned.

I agree that arguments like the one between myself and snowball are petty and should be kept off boards but i'd also like to point out that it was Snowball who provoked me, and has done on numerous occasions. Also, other members have had similar disputes with him and although mordeth has taken dara's side, no action such as banning was ever taken. In addition to this, there has been more cases than this where one member has said offensive things to another, at least two where I was in Snowball's place but I didn't involve mordeth.

I don't think I ever once named the mod in question as its not only the one...I mean you go onto any of the boards on here and you'll get treated the same.

I can't see the sense in threatening to ban people from this thread when all it is is an opinion and if you can't handle other peoples views then &*%^*%$!!!!

I dont think he just be driven from been mod just cause a few people causing trouble and a few people disagreeing on stuff,
If people dont like the way boards.ie is run should they not go find somewhere else to express their opinions,views and chat rather then argue and go against the ways things are here?
