Went to see it twice yesterday - good, but not as good as I thought it would be tbh. Still, that bit where Collosus walks into the bedroom and the metal skin comes clanking up him to cover him (including his face) - TOTAL GOOSEBUMP CITY!

    It's something to do with
The Phoenix taking over Jean Grey's body/persona when she dies. There's something involving Madeline Pryor, the clone of Jean Grey, getting Jean Grey's memories, and feck it read this & this.

Can someone tell me how your man Stryker can manipulate the adamantine like in wolverine i.e. how did he get it liquid in the first place?

I loved the film, anyone know the name of the mazda car that the guys escaped in it kicked ass! Wolverine was brilliant and we saw into his dark past. There could easily be 5 films considering the years of comics, tv programs and all the characters, and the so much talked about spoiler that you can see in the water could be very interesting, storm looked so hot in her leather trousers

I think is was a mazda RX7 if my gran turismo days hold true, unless perhaps and RX8 or something has been released.

If you listen to when stryker is talking to Wolverine before he fights Death Strike it says 'its rare to get adamantium in its liquid state yadaa yadaa....' so that means he gathers it when its liquid.

I liked the film, some really cool fight scene's
    magneto's escape was class
, and the scene in the hallway with the grenades was also brilliant (if you saw it you would know).

However I thought the film seemed unfinished, as if there was something more on the end, there will definately be an X3 tho, the ending is so open to it.

Just after coming home from the cinema after seeing this movie. All I can say is feck that was amazing. The special effects were outstanding but these were backed up by decent acting and a trilling/interesting plot. Matrix 2 just got a bit of competition.

On the same database, you could see Hank McCoys name and Jamie Madrox name (AKA the multiple man). Roll on number 3

Adamantium is an alloy, which means that the core components can be melted but when they cool together, they're indestructable.

Cheers for that Pugsley i mustn't have picked that up.
and thanx Gilbet more along the lines of what i was looking for.

I thought it was brilliant. The FX were class and it's obvious Singer was more inventive and had more funds this time around.

I've always loved X-Men and I don't I think that the films are emulating the status held by the older comic's if not making it better.

Final thought: Bryan Singer is an amazing director and it's a pity he doesn't go for more gigs. Bring on X3:)

Great film really enjoyed it right until that last 10 minutes ,the scene with the jet and what happens after was crap and was wrong wrong wrong :(

Other than that great film very well made.

AND he should be wearing the mask thingy...

And running around in yellow spandex yes.

I hope it shows Rogue acquiring her powers of flight and superstrength in X3. She's one of my favourite characters but in the current two films she doesn't do much.

That bit at the end in the water
is that the phoenix character described in the comic books/cartoon series. I know that in the series she was actually possessed when she became phoenix, however artistic licence...

Sadly I didnt think it was a great film...i enjoyed it but all in all thought it was pretty bad...

The story was ALL over the place and was absolutely terrible..couldnt they come up with somthing a lil mroe intelligent/ exciting ? I also thought they tried fit FAR too many characters in which ment they all only got a tiny bit of screen time....and in turn ment we only see each of them using there powers once...

Yea some of the SFX's were cool and its a good leave your brain at the door but being such an a X-Men fan I would have liked the story to be a bit neater....and the whole film to be neater tbh, it felt messy...anywho ill go see it again and it may change my mind i guess..

I can't say that I am a big x-men fan but I do remember watching the cartoon years ago on sky one.

I really enjoyed this movie. It didn't seem too long at all. I won't go into much of the action scenes as most of them have already been commented on.

One thing that I am looking forward to in x3 is
Pyro and Iceman having a bit of a fight. Seems like this may play a small part in the movie??

  • Registered Users Posts: 878 ✭✭✭Bicky

You see gambit when nightcrawler and storm went to save the kids in the dam. The kids are underneath some kind of grill and storm shouts gambit and you get a brief glimpse of the kids.
but I didnt pick him out. all went a bit fast.........
As for jubilee i think she was one of the students in the room with Xavier at the very end.

wolverine was great..gotta love those claws.
Nightcrawlers first scene made the movie.
collosus was incredible and definetely a charachter they should develop more imho!!!!
