An easy way to extrapoliate which side is the dominant hemisphere is to evaluate which hand you use more.

Right handed implies left side dominance
Left handed implies right side dominance.

Only about one in nine people are right hemisphere/left handed people.

Remember people:

Right brained = left handed (generally speaking, the test can't be THAT valid)

Left brained = Right handed.

So if you are left brained you are a calculator, if you are right brained you are quite obviously God's gift to literature and the arts...

This test is, however, grossly simplistic.

Someone asked:
Is Brain Dominance the reason men are more likely to do Sciences/Engineering than women?

Studies have shown this to be due to societal/cultural forces but here, I risk oversteping the scope of the present thread.

I write with my right hand, but have done previous tests which show I'm left hand dominant for most other things-eating, sweeping/hoovering, lighting a match, using a scissors etc.-and I am. For some reason I can do perfect 'mirror writing' with my left hand though. Was equally interested in science and arts subjects at at school (but hopeless at business and practical stuff like home economics).

My parents were both naturally lefthanded but were forced to write with their 'right' hands at school....:mad:
