Hi does anyone know anything about Fairuza? I got a free CD in secret book and record store ages ago but haven't found anything since. it's deadly but i'd love to see them live. any ideas?

Just had a look and it's so slick and the singer is gorgeous.Kryz?- it says they're Irish- where did he get a name like that? Are you out there Kryz? Definitly going to gig- hope he's as fine in real life. Beautiful Jaguar in the photos too. Sounds like my kind of man;)

You'll have to excuse the blatant advertising, but we want to get as many people down to the gig as possible.... and of course to buy the album. It'll be available to buy on our website too, along with the usual record shops in Dublin, and nationwide.

The gig is on Thursday May 15th, in TBMC. The album is available the following day in the shops, but it will also be on sale at the gig (as far as I know anyway, but they don't tell me anything!)

Cor, that singer is fantastic in more ways than one. is he going out with some fluffy? seriously though i've been heaaring loads about them. can't wait for the gig!!!

O.K. so they look gr8t and they sound great so why haven't they got a record deal? The girl Kris is going out with is from my home town and sorry girls but ye haven't a hope- they're rock solid. My sister says she works with them but don't know what she and her 4ft long red and black hair does. Carroll which one are you? Why haven't u got a rec.deal? Who's doing support at the gig?

I just suggested that Fairuza play at the Phantom night out! I'm definitly going to the gig in May. I bet it'll packed. There are loads of people going. i've one of my feelings that it's gonna be a special night:)

It says on the website Kid Icarus- they're cool- saw them before- and maca boy is a "special guest" but i haven't a clue who he is. what makes him so special?

I saw MACA BOY on network 2 tonight- he's definitly one for the boys- never heard of him before. how did he end up as a special guest at the gig?

Who cares? The night is going to rock. I know I sound a bit obsessesd but Fairuza are sooooooooo brilliant. I can't believe they're not HUGE!!! can't wait for gig!!!!

Hmm.. Sometimes I wonder myself, but to be honest, we have never really gone looking for one. I know people will laugh at that answer, but i'm an honest guy, and that's an honest answer.

Well as for "what happened" to kid icarus..... sorry bit it's *my* fault!

I'm kid icarus' guitarist and we were really looking forward to the gig. But out-of-the-blue I got an ear infection which turned quite serious i.e. I ended up in the Eye & Ear hospital.

So none-too-surprisingly me being in the company of loud music ain't gonna be happening for a while!!!

Best of luck with the gig carroll - I can't even *attend* the gig without risking having the hearing of a 70 year old in my 20s

Fairuza girls are a selection of beautiful and intelligent women who assist at Fairuza gigs by distributing free cd's, lollipops, Rice Krispie Buns, promotional material, answering questions about the band, welcoming y'all to the best gig Dublin has seen in ages. We would be more than happy to introduce Fairuza boys but no boys have applied....if any-one is interested don't hesitate to contact me...it's all very tasteful....see you at the gig...x

Pete (S) played the song last night and said he'd heard it the night before and loved it and wanted to know who the band were.
Then the next day he found a copy of it on his desk-(quick off the mark these Fairuza Chaps)
He said lots of nice things about FAIRUZA before and after.
It was the first thing he played on the show.
It's pretty rocking

Whats the harm? I download the track, it grows on me, I buy the album.

You cant be dtuck up about mp3's when you're looking for interest. Can you?

I dont see the sense in it.

There will be a free CD available at the gig in TBMC on May 15th with samples from several Fairuza songs on it. Also, there will be MP3 samples of the song available on the website shortly.

I'v been investigating and have it on good authority that Fairuza girls are not Fairuza's girlfriends. For one, the drummer's married! That's you Carroll isn't it? Kryz is going out with the girl with the red hair and my sister says she knows that she is definitly not a fairuza girl but i don't know anything about bassist but fairuza girls anyway are promotions people hired and not really linked to the band. I promise i'm not stalking them or anything! The thing is though they'll probably all break up ifthey become famous so we'll just have to sit it out girls:D

All Samples??????????

Jesus Why?

A full track and then some samples would be of much more substantial benefit to the band. And cooler too. Everyone will just dump a CD full of samples. It would'nt hold any nostalgia or stand the test of time. At least a couple of full live versions or acoustic mix's or something...

I just dont see the sense in it.

Major companies can risk that kinda thing because they know they can recoup the enormous ammount of money they pump into P.R. through superficial sales from the P.R. itself, if not points from any chart success they might have.

Why would fairuza risk losing 'possible' fans, by not offering a more generous insentive to appeal?

A free CD is a nice thing. But go the extra length and make it something special. Not just an advertisement. Get the singer to record a bonus track to minidisc or something.. anything.

I actually got one of the sampler cds-you can get it from their website-email them and they'll send it out to u.
the one i got had some samples of the new songs, but it also had 2 full tracks on it too.

They always give away free cds at their gigs too.
