    Sinople, dictionary.com contains two slightly different explanations.

    -\Sin"o*ple\, n. (Min.) Ferruginous quartz, of a blood-red or brownish red color, sometimes with a tinge of yellow.
    -\Sin"o*ple\, n. [F., fr. LL. sinopis. See Sinople a mineral.] (Her.) The tincture vert; green

    So according to dictionary.com it is something that is reddy browny yellowy greeny. Otherwise known as Reddowbreen.

    The odd contradictary definitions were part of the motive of the word being suggested I believe. Also, Talliesin offered it as his first 'Definition of the day'
