    i'v just run a spell check; the americans spell it epitome and the english spell it epitomy, so i guess either way it means the same thing.

    Never heard of it spelled epitomy, and my dictionary (proper english, not american) spells it epitome... Look at the second result for "epitomy" on the internet...

    P.S. Looked it up, and the correct original English word derived from Latin is indeed "epitome". But "Epitomy" is an accepted spelling, predominantly in America (I think, that's just a guess). So Snorlax was right and I am a pedant. Dammit.
