    im hoping you can all help me, i have a bit of a problem ive got a bit of a belly that i cant shift, i try and hold it in but now its getting bigger i actually look as if im pregnant and i hate it how can i get rid of it?

    It could well be water retention, I tend to soak up water like a sponge but taking herbal tablets for it ( you can get them in boots etc) helps a lot.

    Try to work on the underneith part with crunches and stuff then go for definition with weights.

    Hmm, well I wouldn't be too concerned about water retention of all things, but maybe that's just a male perspective.

    You cannot spot reduce fat. You will not lose fat on your abs by doing situps. Fat is not used for energy in a localized manor. You can increase the muscle in the abs, but if you have a layer of fat covering the muscle, it will still be flabby. Fat is used in a systematic fashion and spot reducing is impossible.

    I recommend more general exercise - plenty of cardio, running, walking, swimming.
