On another note, Ive been recieving unsolicited txts, but from a genuine Dublin based travel company, you have won a 400 Eur travel voucher redeemable at bla bla, call 1550xxxxx etc.

    Is this even legal? :)

Call Esat or Vodafone and ask how much the number costs to call, it could be €1.50 a min to call, so check first...

and also if you reply they will know the number is in use.

Sedning unsoliceited commerical texts/letters/emails is illegal in Ireland.

We have a specific "opt-in" policy - ring the operator of whoever sent you the text and they will get a severe rap on the knuckles / account closed.

I have heard that if you get junk texts from vodafone, O2 or whoever just reply with the word "STOP" and they should stop. I think STOP is the only word the Computer recognises or something?

I really hate getting txts from Ringtone Comapanies.

I think it's legal because most peoples numbers are in the mobile phone book...
