I know some french people in the college and i work with them, i used to think french people are arrogent but these arent, they're very nice, genuine people. They say thank-you and please and they can hold a conversation just fine, and they know some Irish humour so there . . . . . .

Ireland is becoming a nation of racist and gimps, no-wonder tourism sucks at the moment because when people of diff nationalities come to this isle they are laughed at or beaten, the irish are not nice anymore, thats what people are saying. We are a nation of greedy people. It was better in the 80s when we had no fúcking money then we had to be nice. now that we have money we are telling people to fúck off.

put that in ur pipe and smoke it.

personally i've no problem with French ppl.
i think the problem lies with the ppl who think the French are differant from themselves/not human.

All the times i've been to France have demonstrated to me that they are just another race. Alright they have some stupid ppl, but just look at hte amount of ****ing idiots in Irish society.

Oh,and i'm a sucker for the classic French accent

I raise the same point as Mada999 but about spanish people. I lived in Madrid for 6 years and spanish people are lovley. They enjoy good food, friends and basicly the good things in life. I cant stand it when people in Ireland moan and groan about spanish and how loud they are and how ignorant they are. Spanish people are really nice people.

Also from what contact I have had with french people the above point also stands for the french.

P.S: JP, Curtus, Steven and the rest of u pervs keep ur pervie minds away from my post. There is enough inudendo that we dont need it near this post

have fluent spanish, sometimes have trouble convncing spanish ppl that I am irish. Well, used to happen alot, not I have lost my spanish acent but my spanish is just as good.

I cant stand it when people in Ireland moan and groan about spanish and how loud they are and how ignorant they are. Spanish people are really nice people.

I have to agree with you there. I also have lived throughout Spain and the Islands for a few years and absolutely loved it. Totally different culture, different people, different attitudes, but very good people.

Unfortunately I dont know so much about the French, other than we will kick their a** Saturday in the Rugby and the French women are in my experience devine:)

Ireland is turning into a very raciest place but after spending many months in France over the years the French are as bad,
A few years ago I got my face slapped cause one of the other kids thought I was English,got appologies when they found out otherwise,
People in general are jsut becoming intolerant

I know this is seperate to talking about french people but I have a real problem with asylum seakers. Not all of them.
Just a few things from memory, a few years about there was a couple thet were to be moved from dublin to an asylum center in the north. They refused as they wanted to stay in dublin with family and friends. Dublin Corpo went and bought them a house. This is redicilous (so is my spelling). That is just one example. there are many like it. On channel 4 a while ago they followed one asylum seaker from when arrived. He was given basic board and food vouchers and £10 a week spending money. It was up to him to find a job if he wanted to stay. After two months he could not find a job so he was sent home. This in my opinion is the right way to do things.
In kilcormac where i come from a house worth about 1/2 to 3/4 a million was bought for asylum seakers. This house has a fully fitted resturant in the basement and 5 ensuite room. They placed 3 asylum seakers in it. They don't even stay there during the week. They spend all their time in dublin and only come down to the house on the odd day.
This just pisses me off.

(I also thing most french people are ignorent, i went there a few times on holidays and the way they treat tourists is awfull. I lived with a french guy last year and he was the nicest guy ever, so i suppose not all of them are bad.)

shut up snowball(im the one he refers to as "curtis"), you should know that i like the mix of races in ireland, and i will admit that i complain about the loud "outsiders" in the library or the cantine-but i'll complain about the loud locals just as quick

most of the people who are posting the racist posts are taking the piss more than anything........you should know not to take what people say on the net seriously

but i still dont like americans, anyone who believes i learned to speak english in the few weeks before i went over ther, AND believes that leprechauns are an extinct race of little people, deserve about as much respect as...........their president

Ok, When ya go to calais...theres that big stupid shopping centre Careforte or summit anyway, they (being the french) always walk into you...everytime no mistake Bang..."OUCH"!!!

Can they not see us no? Thats soo annoying and I also dont like the whole Fur coats thing, we went to nice in summer and the place was covered in dead animals...EW!!!

Spanish people are nice, but theyve no attitudes.

all the french people in france, ireland, whereever are not all annoying bastards. it just seems that the groups of french in OUR college LIBRARY ( i dont notice them being loud in the canteen or out smoking and i go to both areas just as much as the LRC. ) are very very loud and ignorant towards other people, i wish there was a few on boards so that they could defend themselves. they sit in groups at computers ( a group might be 10 spread all over an area of 50 people ) and they talk out loud from one end to the other not giving a flying **** if they are too loud.. nobody can understand them so they dont care if we over hear their conversations. i think that might be another reason why they are so loud. I dont like asking anyone in the library, doesnt matter where they are from, to be quiet.
