To my mind he is the most over rated footballer ever. I do not even think he was very good in '95, he just scored a goal people remember because he only had one boot on. Anyway most Dubs cheer when he comes on the pitch but I just inwardly, or if we are losing outwardly, groan. I know three or four successive Dublin managers have had him in their panels but I do not understand why. Especially now as he has lost the one asset he had which was his speed. Believe it or not but I think Vinnie Murphy has more to offer then Jayo.

I was actually at that 95 final. I ended up supporting Dublin cos Tyrone were being stupid pricks outside the stadium when I had the old reliable Cavan jersey on. I was intending on being a neutral only for that.

We did what we had to do. If you had scored the peno we would just have scored a goal too. We didn't want to be responsible for a crisis of confidence in Tyrone. hes very overrated. not a patch on brogan. i thought the backs were very good until the armagh game.plenty of time to improve though as the championship is a while away yet. kerry are unpredictable at the moment,u wudnt know what way that game will turn out.shud be a good one though. im urging all followers to be on their best behaviour, i remember at one of the games in thurles some supporters attacked the bouncers at a niteclub as well as others throwing full cans and bottles over the stage that was erected in the square in the early part of the evening,i saw one of them hit an unsuspecting child and other dubs found this funny.there was great craic in one of the pubs especially,all good natured stuff but outside people were looking for fights with the locals. i hate when we let ourselves down the few times we are away from home

I went to those matches in Thurles and it looked like there was great craic around the town. I drove up and down on the day so I did not get to have a few pints unfortunately, but I was sorely tempted.
