Weight Loss

    I'm planning to loose weight and i've already lost a little bit of my excess load. I was wondering, if i lose some more will i have excess skin? This is worrying me, i'd rather stay over weight than have exess skin.

    Depends on your height, if you are near or over six foot, no.

    I'm almost 14 stone at 16 years old but I wouldn't call myself obese because I have a good build and good body fat percentage.

    I'm 18, 11 1/2 stone, and 6Ft.
    When i was 14/15 my weight was 13-15Stone, and I was obese.

    My eating habits changed completely and i now have a problem,
    If your going to loos weight dont starve yourself, just watch what you eat, cut out sweets, this worked a treat for me, but dont go off them entirely, go off chocolate bars, but continue to eat crisps (Or visa versa) and ween yourself off them.
    Chocolate is addictive and it wont leave your system for 5 months, so until that time the craving is because of an addiction, not for genuine reasons.

    Exercise is the best way for weight loss. but in the end it depends on the person.
    Will power is a god send when trying to loose weight, if your a smoker you'll find it hard (Or any kinda substance abuse) cause your cravings for ciggies wont help.

    I know im generally happier, apart from the only eating 1/2 meals a day.
    (Still needa loose a bit more though :( )

    well, I'm underweight, and I'm 9 and a half stone or so (I'm 16 years old, by the way) 13 stone doesn't seem to much... guy in my school used to be 21, but he was on medication... he lost about 3 stone over the summer, and you can tell... So basically, don't go on a big weight loss program if you don't need to.

    Man, just get some weights and/or do crunches/situps/abdominal exercises.
    You're actual body mass wil god up but you'll bea bit more toned.
    must do the same myself.

    Any one know a decent thing for lower back support for situps/etc. ?

    Need to get a bit tighter all round tbh, and do some lifting.
    big muscley legs and not-so-muscley arms are the legacy of cycling in 10th gear up hills as a young lad..... :|

    Im only 10 stone and im 5'11. Im 20 years of age go to the gym bout 4 times a week. Im well fit but slightly underweight.

    My ideal weight that I would like to be is about 11.5 to 12.5 stone

    You shouldn't have to worry bout excess skin anyway. I wreckon do some weight training aswell as just keeping fit.
