First up on Sunday nite, it was the French GP at Rouen in the UK Legends Racing Series which I've just joined. Rouen is one of my favorite tracks so I expected good times. I managed a decent enough 5th in qualifying, but when the green flag dropped the Ferrari in front of mine got a bad start, and I couldn't get round him as the Eagle behind me roared up my outside and past. Lap 1 continued in this hairy vein with a number of close calls, none closer than when all 3 ferraris tried to take the slow tight left hander at Sanson together, thats me in the #8 car getting pushed onto the kerb :)

After Lap 1 it all calmed down a bit, and despite being in 8th after in all, I slowly worked my way up to 5th, then did a nice overtaking move at the Nouveau Monde hairpin to grab 4th.

With a podium place within my reach, I charged after Ben Summers in 3rd, I knew he was in a Honda and my Ferrari should have the power to pull past him if I could catch him ... and on Lap 15, 3 Laps from the end, I caught up with him coming into the hairpin, he lost it slightly on the left going in and I dived for the apex of the bend and got around him on the inside, then pulled away.

Held onto 3rd for the remaining laps and got my first podium finish in a league race .... the next day tho I was going to be in Germany, racing the Nurburg Ring in the UKGPL , and it was an experience, report on that will follow :)
