Diet/toning advice

First off i apologise if this is in the wrong place...

Im looking for advice on the best way to flatten and tone my stomach.

Im a male (23) 6ft 1 and 13.5 stone, i am fairly broad so although im 13.5 stone i look far from being fat.
As a child/teenager i could eat anything i wanted and wouldnt put on weight but i think thats changing , either that or all those visits to the chipper are catching up with me.

The only place i have fat is my stomach, no where else, and its become a pot/beer belly look to it.

Now i want to sort this out and i have now idea how, im clueless when it comes to healty eating but i do try.

My diet typically consists of ...
A bowl of cereal for breakfast
A ham, lettuse and tomatoe sandwich for lunch
And then a dinner, usually chips or potatoe with some form of red meat, I usually go for a chineese twice a week (very rarley go for chipper/McDonalds anymore)
So is my diet crap ?

As for excercise i try and to some weights and situps and cycling twice a week , im only at that 2 months so maybe im jumping the gun but if you can recommend anything else i would really appreciate it.

Again i apologise for posting here but i prefered to go unreggie and i cant do that on the fitness board

Yes that diet sucks. Eat more cheese and cake.

The usual advice from doctors regarding weight loss is to try Weight Watchers. Regarding your 'tummy' in particular, building up you stomach muscles has a tendency to push the fat out. Try talking to a trainer at the gym you use.

Dave is right and they're called the Obliques

How much alcohol do you drink? That could be a factor if you drink a fair amount- especially beer
