Same. She was from the Shetlands (see above). Most people I knew couldn't understand a word she was saying. My talents for understanding everything Rab C Nesbitt said came to the fore.

Yeah, have to say I'm a big fan of the Scottish accent. The Welsh accent doesn't do it for me at all.

I wouldn't say I go for any accent in particular.

I do like people who are well spoken and reasonably gramatically correct though. I don't mean like "D4 baby, ya", just people who can speak normally in their own voice and it's calm and pleasant to listen to.

Anyone who abandons the letter 'h' in words like path, thick, thought, etc. gets kicked into touch within two sentences.
