    Note that they, a near Monopoly , just went ahead and did it because they are committed to giving their customers broadband wherever they may be, unlike our near Monopoly who are committed to sending all the money to New York.

    Here is info on an Earlier rural broadband solution from BT aimed at Scotland and not Wales. The word on google is that the Gilat VSAT used in this trial is rubbish except for very basic use ...ports get blocked and unblocked willy nilly it seems.
