American Pie-was it supposed to be funny???!!?

After hearing so many good things about it i watched it last night on TV3.What a load of steaming piss!I thought this was supposed to be puerile sick laugh a minute kind of stuff.You see i like that kind of thing.I love the likes of Naked Gun,Scary Movie etc.I was under the impression that it was one of those"gross out"comedies as the americans call them.But sadly it wasnt.For a start nothing at all happened in the first 20 minutes.Then came a very poorly done joke.It wasnt actually made that clear until your one was about to drink the beer that the lad had spunked in it.Maybe it was funnier in the uncut video but it just didnt add up here.The only parts where i laughed out loud were with your mans dad with the porno[the only truly funny character in the film,he was hilarious i have to admit].But as for that hockey player and the blonde one-it took up most of the film and the script was as unfuny and gay as an episode of Dawsons Creek.WTF???!!?What was that whole angle all about?Its supposed to be a comedy and yet most of the film focuses on those 2 really being in love or whatever.Please!Spare us the bull!And the bit with the foreign girl naked in your mans bedroom-it was welcome,but one bit didnt make sense.She was getting him to feel her up,she was naked,he was stripping-and he didnt ride her!!!?!It didnt explain clearly exactly why he didnt.She wasnt to upset that he exploded before he should have-so why didnt he do her????Something was mentioned about that her minders were watching and sent her home,but yet again it was a little unclear.In conclusion id give this crap 4 out of 10-2 points for nudity and 2 for your mans dad.Other than that it was the most overrated ton of ****e since the exorcist.

The uncut version is a bit better. Like the bit where he's holding the pie to his dick, in the uncut version he's lying on the worktop giving it his all. Did I say better? Oops, maybe just a lot more of a gross out movie.

Scary movie was Horseshít, The other wayans movies are better,

Not really. He was supposed to set up the broadcast and send it to Stiflers e-mail address and your man Kevins but he messed it up and sent it to everybody in the area, so her host family saw the whole thing on the net and they sent her home.

Did you actually watch it last night or was this the video version?Unless i went to sleep for 2 seconds what i remember happening was that your man blew his load twice,but she didnt really mind too badly.Then it cut to the adbreak and you presume he did her,and next thing it comes back and hes at school where every1 is making fun of him for shooting twice in a short period.I know well that the foreign girls family sent her home,that bit was clear.But as i say it was never shown,as far as i remember anyway,why exactly he didnt ride her.
Anyway,as said before the film was ****e.

American Pie 2 is better, Road Trip is even better than that. But for the ultimate teen-perv movie, ye should check out the original Porkys movie. now THAT is funny.

Cant comment on AP2 but road trip was not what I would call a good movie.Again it was very funny in parts but pure dross overall.

Porkey's and the various sequals were very good tho but then again they were the first of there kind so to speak where American Pie and Road Trip are just more of the same.

Dumb and Dumber and Something about Mary are wickedly funny movies and the best in the modern zany comedy peg hole.

Good point Kali-i suppose that trying to make sense of plotholes in a film with an in general crap plot is a bit futile.Considering that the whole film was in general crap maybe i shouldnt be suprised that the writers decided to save paper here and there by not actually properly finishing scenes.
And Dustaz,Nore,haktivist and anybody else who thinks that this film actually made any sense can fu*k off back to their own exclusive screenings where they apparently see full,sense making versions of the film.Because the TV3 viewers certainly didnt.

None of them are half as good as people would have you believe. If you dont want to have to think then they are grand but other than that they are bad films.
But they are not hard to follow either, so Gopher I dont really know what you are complaining about.

They're mind numbing films which you go to see with the intention of laughing your arse off for the 90 or whatever minutes.

Obviously some ppl aren't going to like those type of films just like I can't stand James Bond films.

Well,not to start another arguement,but one of my main original points was that this film should have been better than it was.It was officially in a category of films(gross outs as the yanks call them)that are usually very good i.e scary movie road trip etc etc.But the fact was that it was more of a drama than a comedy,with more time spent on the mind numbingly boring serious part about the hockey player and the blonde girl.Sure there were a few LOL bits,but only a very small amount.The theme of the film should have provided more but sadly didnt.with only the odd bit of humour here and there
