Anyway, my entry to the chat up line thread.
(actually, this has worked! which is suprising)

Start: Having a drink with your mates. You see a girl you like the look of. You let your mates know. (Very important!!). Then you tell your mates that you are going to chat her up (maybe even boast that it'll be easy or put on a bet)

Go over to the girl and say in a nice polite manner, 'Excuse me, This might sound really childish but my friends made a bet with me that I couldn't get talking to you - (motion to your friends subtly).' Your friends should by now be looking over and laughing or smiling a lot (maybe they'll even call out something). 'So, if you don't mind, can I join you for a bit. I'll leave in a while if you want.'

Yes! It is crap. But it gets things going, makes you look mature and if you don't actually try to chat her up, makes you seem nice too!. funnily enough it has worked (more than once!).

Now I'm off to a pub to get blind drunk and grope someone (female preferably, but alcohol is a good painkiller just in case!!!)

To chat up a girl you need one item with you:-

A ****y mate who's full of ****e. He'll invariably start the ball rolling with some lady and you can get involved in the conversation effortlessly looking a better prospect for the night.

Also - how about getting completely drunk and waking up beside some female. This can be bad for the heart considering some of the beauties (not) you can wake up with.

This one is genuinely pretty good think. Was a flirty line from a street comedian on YouTube, a black lady with an afro walked past and he says "oh I love her your hair", straight after she said thanks he asked in a real matter-of-fact way "what do you love about me?" I think if used properly it could be pretty cheeky and work well
