It used to be Ferrari but I've become increasingly annoyed with their politics and arrogance.

I vote Williams, if only for their driver lineup.

Well I'm most depressed if Jordan do badly so I guess that makes me a fan, but God they test my loyalty!

Nope minardi have been there for a while now, Tyrell went broke and sold there place on the grid to Toyota i think, shame Tyrell were real f1 legends in there day.

    Where are pacfic ford!

Jordan I like because well there the last privateer outfit, a win or even a point for jordan means far more to a jordan fan than a fan of the big three.

The car is sorted out, its the engine that is the prob, but at the same time compare them to BAR, same engine bigger budget, no points.

If you look at Sato's stats most of his failures to finish a gp have been car related, he can be blamed for at least two driver errors which caused a no finish, like yesterday at monaco, but it is his rookie year and he has only been a couple tenths behind fisi.

I voted Toyota, they have done well in Rally, Salon Car racing, WRC, GT touring, and Le Mans Gt-One.

Alan McNish is a great driver but he's too old for F1.

Toyota r having a better debut than Ferrari or Jaguar ever had.

    To

Toyota will be at number three constructors in 2 0r 3 years, as long as Sato is not driving

Now f1 isn't my favourite sport, as I find it boring to watch, it's a non-contact race, and Schumacher has destroyed the sport.

Some other Motor Sports are ok, World Rally Championship, Nascar, Indianapolis, Daytona, Le Mans, GTR.

My favourite F1 team of all time?

    That's RenaultWilliams
    winning
    1991, 1992, 1993..........1996, 1997. I think?

Im kinda surprised with the lack of support for Sauber. Jordan-sized, reasonably successful underdogs compared to others, owned by a self-made man who comes from a country with no great history of motorracng....

Then again...maybe not. They're kinda Jordan without Eddie, and they're not Irish.

Hmmmm.....tough call. Support the team where I'm from, or the team where I live. Hmmm.

I know - I'll put it down to team bosses.

Peter Sauber has a personality flaw - he's missing one.

Guess it has to be Jordan for now then....although I'm worried that Eddie will turn out to be a bigger moaner than Ronnie D over in McClaren.

    Williams.

    Cold Calculated and Professional.
Team mates are allowed to race and no excuses when you screw up, who ever that "you" may be.

Sato racing with Jordan is paying for their engines. Expect Sato in a honda team next year too.

Why isn't BAR in the List ??

Look Honda would have supplied Jordan for this year regardless of who sat in the No2 seat.
Do you honestly think Honda would be content to settle only for supplying engines when their huge rival, Toyota is doing something so special this year?

Honda always had the intention of running a complete team (imo) but Toyota has just accelerated the process for them.

Sato has talent and a lot of it, he car control is very good he just needs to start learning or drop him next year.
He does have the ability to go extremely fast but control his pace and jesus make better decisions and not repeat the "i decided to let Fizzi pass in the tunnel" manouvere again....fuk stoopidity.

Williams haven't had a need for team orders really have they lets be honest here, so obviously there allowed race, if only more than one a time would do that.

    Like the site though.

Sato needs to score points, idf they gets some and then some more, he'll be in a jordan next year, if he keeps signing his name with a front of a gp car in tracks around the world he won't.

Well Australia 96 stands out clear in my mind.
Sure, their drivers dont go racing each other on a regular basis but to watch DH and JV go punch for punch was excellent.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,621 ✭✭✭GreenHell

Aye, I remember that race. The best finish to a gp in the 90's in my humble opinion.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 483 ✭✭NeRb666

Sauber, they have superb drivers IMO.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 210 ✭✭BJJ

Renault - Wills during the domiantion of the 80s F1.

Ferrari are terrible all the money in the world couldn't win a race, then bought the best driver in the world ( Mickey Schumaks ) only to destroy the sport of F1. I mean how long have they tested the F1 lobby and F1 jury on this team order rubbish!?

Is Eurosport showing Le Mans this weekend?

I may actually see cars race and pass each other out!? GT-1 is a much better motor sport.

Im a Jordan fan,but im also a huge fan of Michael Schumachar, people seem to resent the fact that hes the best its just pure jealousy. Why should he apolgise for the fact every other driver is afraid to match his intensity to win.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 111 ✭✭Kim Tae-Woo

Ever since Michael Schumacher's incidents with other driver and pit crew I have lost faith in him as a good driver.

I agree that Today Michael is the best driver, but unlike Alan Prosts, Nigel Mansens, or other Brazilian drivers score boards this great feat has been achieved with an ammount of dishonesty.

I do believe that given the chance Ralph, Montoya McNish and even Rubens would pass him out. These guys simply do have the potential to pass Michael out. But because of Ferrari's strict team orders this will never happen.

I'm glad teams like Williams, Jordan, McLaren,
Renault never enforced this into their teams.

Williams are my favourite team and I think the will win the championship next year with Montoya. I also admire Sauber and Minardi because they work so hard with a tiny budget in comparison to that of the top teams. Sauber especially have made huge progress in the last 2 years.
The teams I have the least respect for are Jaguar and BAR because they came into the sport with hardly any experience and a big wallet and mouthed off that they were going to win championships and possibly even their first race. Jaguar especially are a disgrace qualifying at the back of the grid on a regular basis and as far as I can see Niki Lauda isn't having the positive effect that he should. However BAR did well at the weekend and hopefully it will continue.

whichever team has schumy and ross prawn on it, the pranicing ponies in this case.

never jordan. the man has to lose those side-burns and the wig first.

would love to support jaguar, but eddie irvine's a **** and the car is going bacwards quicker than it's going forwards.

ron dennis is an ass, so never mclaren, they should stick to baby buggies.

i like the ruthless nature of williams but don't much like montoya, he's yet got a lot to learn.

I think that Juan Pablo has the ability to become the most exciting driver ever in F1, remeber last year he actually shunted Micky S. out of his way, excellent.

Im a bigger fan of rallying than formula1 and I was very disapointed when toyota switched to formula one.
btw i hate the mc claren team.

If anyone does prefer to watch Formula 1 over the rallyin then they must like their sleep a lot, but for the manufacturers Formula 1 is like the holy grail, especially for the japs.

Most ppl cannot get access to live WRC coverage. For some unknown reason, the WRC will not launch their own Digital channel..well actually to do so, they need Rupert money which they simply refused.

As for the F1, i only know one team who hold the CC over the WDC and yet this year, that particual team keeps on having problems which will prevent it winning the CC.

    .

Yes Jordan are rather Irish. Eddie Jordan who has a 60% shareholding in the team is irish. Their racing licence is registered with the Irish Government. Unfortunately they have to be based in England as their are no adaquate facilites here.

    Ferrari
for the most boring team in history

    Jordan are Irish

Eddie Jordan was born in Ireland, supports Irish companies and asked for the Irish national anthem to be played at the cermony even in the face of LVF and UFF death threats.

Eddie Irvine is not Irish, he is a prodestant, when he took the stand "God save the Qu*eer was played", yet our great English Jackeen newspapers try to adopt him as an Irishman just like Oasis, Manch-hester UnSHiited Ree-bocks and Eastenders

...and to completely undermine your post, it was Eddie Irvine who originally asked for the Irish National Anthem but when his ex and his daughter were equated into into the "we will fuk you over" threat he backed down and accepted the English Anthem.

    Brain over Brawn.

But Eddie Irvine is English, that is true.
