I've just moved home from meh college house for the summer and i was in a kind of post drinking binge time of clarity.
So i was thinking who better to share this with.

Anyway, for the summer, i plan to:
    draw more,
    learn the guitar,
    drink a little less,
    eat healthier,
    get my full drivers license,
    learn to fly,
    go to Witnness,
learn how to have a serious conversation,
    work out daily,
    earn muchos cash,
    climb everest,
learn how to program in C so i will have a clue when i go back to repeat the year,
    learn more java + html,
    watch less tv,
    listen to more music,

i was sure i had more.....

Continue to feed my ever growing dvd addiction, it's now nearly as bad as my cd addiction. So I guess that means earning a lot of money.

    1. Stop working 12 hour shifts over the weeked (may require getting a better job)
    2. Drive around the country (or part of it anyway) on my bike if the weather gets nice for more than 2 days at a time
    3. Rediscover my love of that marvellous creation - the beer garden
    4. Pass my driving test
    5. Learn the rules of the road before I take my driving test
    6. Invent some new & challenging sexual positions with the help of my girlfriend
    7. Try not to spend every penny I have in the bank
    8. Stop making lists

I'm going to attack the MET office and get us some SUN!!!
Then spend a lot of time at the beach (might have to clean it a bit first though).

Book some holidays from work then and dunno where to go this year, maybe just tour a bit.

Go to Witnness, go to Sigur Ros in Galway, go to Bristol (and maybe go ballooning )

Read the 20 or so books I bought in the past few months. Go to the theatre more. Learn some db and asp/php skills.

Increase fitness to the point where I can do 40mins on a running machine at a speed where a granny can't walk faster.

Yeah, reports like this are just frightening, stay inside those blue flags folks!

Overall we seem to be ok, but how long before people aren't allowed into the water? In San Diego you can't swim for 72 hours after heavy rain because of the bacteria in the water!

Move house. Launch new work project. Go back to Ireland a few times and get bladdered. Lots more work. Go to some parties. Fair bit more work. Some sleep (not much mind). Bit of weight loss (argh). Buy more tech toys to offset the nastyness of summer weather :)

I've not even planned 2 months ahead... but that goes like this: Sell a couple of web sites, make a load of money, work in the bar, watch the World Cup, go to Spain for just over 2 weeks and get burned to a crisp, come back and start planning again...

  • Registered Users Posts: 78,278 ✭✭✭✭Victor

    Get away from people.

    - well one thing i wanted to do was learn to play the guitar.. been doing that for the past few weeks...
    - keep weight-training regularly (i have a habit of stopping and starting too much).
    - go to roger waters on monday 24th june then off to glastonbury on the 26th to the 30th, head up to bristol for a few nights clubbing then onto enchanted gardens the following weekend july 5th-7th (all booked bar mr. waters).
    - get a proper job (one day a week just won't hack it for too much longer).
    - move out with two mates to an apartment in town end of july.
    - probably some sun-holiday on the horizon as well.. mid-oct. probs.

I'm aiming for two out of the following three.

    1) Get really fit again.

    2) Learn to speak Arabic

    3) Learn to play the guitar.

I have an inkling it will be 1 & 2.
