I've seen full frontal female nudity in a movie on RTE in the early afternoon... twice. They obviosuly are letting things slip by... luckily :)

for **** sake it's in the english dictionary ! It's there for a reason and I find it hard to believe anyone can really think it has any more sinister a meaning than me telling you to get lost as opposed to **** off.

    fuck-diddley-fuck-fuck-fuck. see doesnt hurt anyone.

Irish telly seems alot less censored that UK telly. even the austin powers 2 ads on irish telly they had 'shagged' mentioned and shown in the movies logo. in the uk,ads on every channel they cut it out. :) (strange also that it was 12's over there and 15's over here.)

You are all a bunch of flaming muppets.

Your the f-ucking muppet Bond.People like you are in charge of the dreaded ITC in Britain, which wages a tireless campaign against violence, sex, swearing, hardcore porn, softcore porn and just about anything else that is mildly interesting. These rules effect us as most of us have UKTV and therefore are nearly starved of this kind of stuff.
Though ive seen the odd Frenchy arthouse things on TG4 with some pretty heavy stuff:) Hardcore often gets through to tv if the film is classsed more as an arty type film.

I was watching Italian Tv when I was over there last year and they had lesbian sex at 4 in the afternoon.

On French television at 8 o' clock in the morning I was watching a silent sketch program. the presenter guy goes over and kisses his teddy bear on the nose, walks off and the teddy mastrubates... wierd stuff.

RTE showed Cramer V crammer in the afternoon once and there is a full frontal in that.

Also at around 7 they showed Die Hard with out editing, uproar there was.

They edit Home and away in Britain, just to make it even worse????

You never get cursing on American TV unless it comes out of HBO.

Things could be ALOT worse we could be watching normal films on BBC in which case things would be ****en ****e!

as for American TV, its just really really ****en ****e stuff, can't watch anything on it, to much adverts and well its just plain annoying!

Dont start talking aboot American TV. Thats a whole new thread. It is VERY F***ing annoying though!

Q: All the tax money i pay that is given to RTE....where does it go?

  • Moderators, Technology & Internet Moderators, Regional South East Moderators Posts: 28,475 Mod ✭✭✭✭Cabaal

I'm proud to say RTE get none of my money :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,761 ✭✭✭✭Winters

Why not? You either dont live on Ireland or are just screwing the system as much as you can :D

  • Moderators, Technology & Internet Moderators, Regional South East Moderators Posts: 28,475 Mod ✭✭✭✭Cabaal

    Survey says option #2 :)

Hay its only fair, hardly ever watch RTE, watch Discovery Channel most the time and besides all RTE do show is stupid soaps and Telly Bingo and well maybe its just me but neither are worth paying anything for.

That and the fact that TV3 don't get a penny.

  • Registered Users Posts: 23,641 ✭✭✭✭Elmo

It is always nice to see people talk about TV3 with such joy, for they invest so much money into the Irish Televisual industry with the likes of Martin King, Ireland AM and the weakest link (Dont forget Twinks Dating show and your man from Talkabout). they are just the best shows in the world, god what would life be like without TV3 who show everything that was on RTE One up until last year and we dont have to give them any money.

Sure RTE should pack up shop so that Sky and Granada can get on with making Irish TV.

Its nice to hear that TV3 dont swear. They're just the bestest in the whole wide world. they give me goose pimples.

Sarcasim is the lost form of wit, did you know that.

    You were being Sarcastic?
    Nooooooooooooo Nevvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrr!

On the porn on Irish tv issue theres some film on TV3 tonight which is described in the paper as an"adult drama".Oh ho ho now! Probably wont be near as good as it sounds but its worth a look i suppose.Maybe we should try a huge email deluge on all 4 tv channels demanding porn.Anybody know some handy adresses?
And wouldnt it be ironic if a thread started to condemn foul language ended up changing late night Irish tv forever?
    :p:p
