Dear god please don't call your kid Evanthia. That's just cruel :P

Go for something nice and simple, maybe a little unusual, but not too unusual cos that can end up being a bad thing.

Good luck with the babby :)

Judas. Heh. Why not just go full whack and call him Satan, or EvilLittleBitch.

Caleb is what I'd call one of my sons. Its a good biblical name.

    Girl, maybe Saoirse.

I think Freeman isn't a bad name either, like Freeman Dyson.

I've always liked the names that fit both sexes.
One name I really like is Merlin. Apparently my mother wanted to call me Merlin but my father objected. So I'm kinda pissed off now. :(

Other names. Laurie, I think Charlie is a cool name for a girl, thats all I can think of at the moment.

Please tell us what you decide to use in the end.

when choosing a name it helps to keep the following in mind, I did when I had my son.
    1) Pick a name where no one can take the piss
    2) Ensure that intials of the name can not be sneered at, for example my intials are H.A.W, see what I mean. My sons intials are AjW, no can sneer at that.
    3) Pick four names and let your wife/partner pcik four, put them in a hat or whatever and get a friend to pick and what name comes out of the hat, that can be the name. (Please note you both have to agree on this prior to doing this)

Good luck, however the hardest part is yet to come, the rearing of the child.

    Babies names are very simple:

Rule 1: NEVER EVER give your child a name it will have to explain to everyone it meets. Your satisfaction at being the most "original" parent in the school will soon fade the seven millionth time your kid is crying because someone's been slagging their name again. Imagine what it's like having to go through a 5 minute explaination every time you meet someone.

Rule 2: No Celtic names. It'll make them sound thick. Seriously, can you imagine a Nobel Physics prize winner called Darragh? No. Bog cutter? Yes.

Rule 3: You will end up calling your child something other than its official name anyway. Mine, for example is called "sprog", even by his grandparents. This is because he's a sprog - no explaination needed you'll note.

There is nothing whatsoever wrong with Celtic names. Shame on you for suggesting so. Celtic names are rich and beautiful!

(And no, I don't have a Celtic name. I have a nice Hebrew one as it happens.)

I suggest either Andrea or Lucy for a girl and for a lad Sean or David. Or if you're piss drunk and stoned you can name them either Peggy Sue or Rudiger.
