What Are Your Top-Ten Games Of All Time?

My Top Ten Games through-out my life time :

1. GoldenEye, N64 - bond theme, excellent graphics and the best multiplayer
2. GTA3, PS2 - violence, car chases, and good theme
3. Mario64, N64 - still the best 3d playformer
4. Mario Kart, Snes - in 1993 it had the best multiplayer ever
5. Driver, PS - Big cities, Funny Crashes, and Great Graphics
6. Age Of Empires2 TC, PC- my favourite online game
7. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, N64 - Classic RPG
8. Street Fighter2, Arcade - Great characters, Special moves and lots of updates
9. Mortal Kombat2, Arcade - Violence, Gore and Fatalaties
10. Elite, PC- classic space exploring, trading and battles


I think GoldenEye is in a league of its own. The likes of Halo or Max Payne are good but, they when you compare the level design, weapons characters or multiplayer they just dont come up to scratch.

I notice most of my fav games a FPS games. Perhaps i should start a thread of what is youre favroite non FPS games. Twould be intresting i think.

My favourites are:
1. FFVII (psx): nothing comes close.
2. Metal gear solid (psx): theres nothing else like it
3. Super mario world (snes): best platform game ever
4. Street fighter 2 (arcade): still the best beat em up
5. FFVI (snes): Just pipped by FFVII
6. Half-life (pc): amazingly on other fps has topped it
7. Grandia (psx/saturn): Sheer class
8. Mario Kart (snes): so much fun
9. Gunstar heroes (mega drive): an absolute classic and tons of explosions
10. Rocket Knight Adventures (mega drive): konami's best platformer and one of the most original.

i noticed there are few FPS games in everyones top ten, some strategy games, 3D/2D platformers.

but what about TETRIS???

i wouldnt say its my favourite game of all time but i would definitly have it in my top 10

you've put up only 2 pc games (and one's thats from donkeys years)

you should try a lot of the pc recs from other posters, for fps spooky donkey has it pretty much covered...

If you have a good pc at home Steve_Astn then i'd say pick up a copy of PCGAMER/PCZONE and look at their recs, some absolutly class games out there that you mightened have tried!
