    how's a Mocha made anyway?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,494 ✭✭✭kayos

Mocha = Espresso + Chocolate + Steamed Milk + Whipped cream

In other words mocha = heaven for a choc and coffee addict :)

The whipped cream doesn't have to be there but its a nice treat on a saturday morning when your in Starbucks with a Giant cookie :)

So lads because I dont like the normal coffee drink I've never actually tried for one of the other things - what are they like , do they taste much different ?

I love all of the aboe, except for in food really. I voted cappuccino 'cos it's my favourite out of the options else a latté. In the morning though I prefer a straight freshly brewed cup of java or bewleys, just a nice strong coffee. I wouldn't have an espresso first thing though 'cos then I'd start seeing into the future... that's for when I really need to snap myself out of it!! :)

    yeah they're different!

Americano is just normal coffee i.e. coffee hotwater

Cappuccino - coffee very little water, steamed milk, lots of foam and topped off with chocolate sprinkles.

Latté - similar to capp but only has steamed milk

Espresso - coffee with only a little water, very strong.

Only coffee worth having here is Irish coffee after a large meal, of course.

Cafe Du Lait in France is good.

    And Greek coffee.

Well they're all done with a shot of Espresso but the other ingredients reduce the strength in the others.... depends on where you get them as well.
Anyone ever had Starbucks frappuccino? Caramel flavour...Jesus, they're dangerously nice! They don't have starbucks here (Ireland) though do they?

    <edit - spelling>

Mmmm Greek/Turkish/Arabic coffee is most definately the best. The Greeks boil the water and ground beans three times before they drink it. Don't know why but it really does make a difference.

    Mmmm Kafe Elleniko Metrio

I really like the Insomnia's coffees as well...
