    anyone watch enterprise last night??

that must be the most sexually sugestive piece of sci-fi i've ever seeeeen.

it was like cheep porn: "ohh no - you two fine young sexy officers are contaminated - here is some jelly - run it all over eachother"

it was a damn hilarious show - cant wait for the next one.

    Yes, but it was wrong!!

Scott Bakula should be leaping through time, into other peoples bodies, not flying the original Starship Enterprise!! And the vulcans were quite un-vulcan, werent they?

More shouty and mean, less logical.

    I didn't watch it.

I'm not an avid trek fan. I used to be kinda but then my attention span got the better of me and i realised i couldn't be bothered....

BUT i wish they'd do another series of Quantam Leap or the forever promised film of it!!!!

I mean.... they left it open for godsake!!!!

<I like Sam Beckett and Iggy and the barman that was god>

I'm not a "star trek" fan, but whats this about porn???

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,026 ✭✭✭sisob

well - about the porn: you'd really have to have seen it:

here is the best description i can give

the vulcan science officer and some engineer guy come back from a mission and the doctor says that they are "contaminated" and gives them a tub of jelly and send them into a blue lit room - where they make small talk in their underware. the camera keeps zooming in on the vulcan's giant breasts and dangerously pointy nipples - as she rubs the jelly into her shoulders - then the engineer guy rubbs the stuff into her back - all in all it is far more erotic than what janeway and tuvok get up to.

    most entertaining

ohh yeah and Quantum leap - mmmmyyyy god i hated that show - it used to beeee repeated over and over and over and over - and the last episode was soooo crap

damnit,i was planning on watching that.i used to watch star trek aaaallll the time(the joys of having sky one)but then i stopped and only watch the occasional ds9 episode when i've nothing else to do.but still,i wanted to watch enterprise.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,026 ✭✭✭sisob

yeah, enterprise is worth watching if your one of those people like me who watches star trek just for the sake of something to watch

ohh and on the subject of sci-fi : do you know what the difference between star trek and stargate

stargate WASNT written by monkeys with typewriters

it actually has good story lines and a realistic story of the history of the universe

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 430 ✭✭qwidgybo

hey!star trek had some good storylines!!like the one in ds9 when quark and his brother and his nephew(can't remember their names) were going to earth and they managed to travel back in time(i'm sure there's a logical reason for this,i just can't remember it)and it turns out, they were the roswell aliens.and it had hilarious consequences.so there.and there are other ones, but i just couldn't be arsed talking about them.so there

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,026 ✭✭✭sisob

yeah, startrek did have some good stories - but the difference is stargate had some bad stories - and the music is so much cooler - and the enimies have a cool name that i cant spell

:o Star trek, enterprise and stargate all suck ass!

there you go again - just like childish name calling

if you dont like something at least explain why - or start a good arguement.

i just ahve to say the 3 coolest things about stargate:

    1. the marching noises of the j'fa - that loud thundering mixed with metallic grinding - i love that.

    2. the voices of the gw'oold - i want somthing that will make me sound like that

    3. ohh and those moulded metal helmets that they wear - i dont know how you are meant to get them on but i want one

    enought of that

did anyone see southpark on TV3 last night - it was a retelling of Great Expectations - my go was it hilarious

Anyways aside from the obvious humour of that they absolutely screwed us on 'it's a klingon matter'.
Anyone who remembers the original series will remember that klingons had NO ridges on their heads.
In DS9 Trials and Tribulations Worf and co went back in time to the original series.
While there a waitress said something about the klingons asking her for RacTaGeno(no idea how to spell that-klingon coffee i think). Odo said what Klingons and she pointed out all the 'human' looking klingons.
Worf went on to explain well not really but he said it's a klingon matter that is NOT discussed with outsiders.
    Gad damn...
Anyways it wasn't a bad first episode. Small but neat(as in cool) looking ship...
I can't wait for it to continue. it's quite promising...

In the original series, the kingons were just dark-skinned humans with long hair!

And mark, its gu'aould or something like that, not qwoold! go sit in the corner :).

Podge! i didn't realise that was you! Hey! this is Neil by the way!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 430 ✭✭qwidgybo

i love trials and tribbilations!!!!that's one of my favourite episodes!!!

    i've never watched stargate
i suppose i should, because i've heard many good things about it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 895 ✭✭✭imp

Yes, you should watch Stargate. It is very good. And they have a lot of good gags about Star Trek and Star Wars...

    STAR WARS SUCKS!!!!!!

But Star Trek is pretty good. Except Voyager...

I must have a look at this enterprise. It seems like my sort of program, sci-fi mixed with senseless eroticism. I like it!

its not like you got it right either though - it is a different language - its so much more beautiful than ours - qwoold sound SOOO cool when said by a qwoold - so does j'fa

ohh and the klingons in enterprise had ridges so apparently they just turned into "dark-skinned humans with long hair" for w while when kirk was around

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,198 ✭✭✭✭Crash

My interpretation was closer than yours was! and its also ja'afa!

Put another dunce hat on top of the other dunce hat!

Has anyone else noticed all the threads mark has started lately have all related to sex?

Did it seem odd to anyone that the enterprise in Enterprise looks more advanced than TNG's enterprise and the original series...

    No?

Not to try and get into this but...

Star Wars bites. The monkeys ass.

Except Empire Strikes Back which is rather good... the next one is promising to be terrible... even WITHOUT N'Sync (thank god they appear to be cut)!

The third however, should be good. The ones where the empire win always are. Hopefully it'll be called The Empire Strikes. (see - no back!!!!)

On another note... next year should be so fun.

Trekkies vs. Star Wars fans. Plus new challengers Tolkien nerds!

It's like the biggest civil war geeks have had since someone looked at D&D and said "but... it just doesn't make sense!"

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,026 ✭✭✭sisob

i have to agree that Star wars sux ass

i never even saw the first 3 films

the fact is that str trek is crap as well

    GOOO STARGATE

oh yeah enterprise looks so cool because it was built by americans and not "the federation"

    "and its also ja'afa!"
as in jafa cakes? it is definately j'fa
*mark pokes neil with his dunces cap*

STOP WITH THE GIVING OUT ABOUT STAR WARS!!!
you are all making little aideen all sad :(

and anyway, mark,if you've only ever seen phantom, you're bound not to like star wars.watch the first three.or just one of them.then i can allow you to say you don't like star wars.

and as for enterprise-who else wants to kill hoshi and that vulcan??cos i do!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 455 ✭✭Ferror

yesssss, hrrmm- Seen all the "STARWARS" saga and have to agree its not grrrreat! (re: tony tiger) But anyway what is? what can be classed as a truly great film?
The first film was plagued by poor acting....sequels following in a similar monotinouse order.

But anyways we should'nt let such things cause a mighty schism in the geek ranks?

    ;-)

Actually, star wars is classic, if you ignore stupid little bits like mark hamill calling Leia "Carrie". he's a fool.

i wanted Nsync to be in "attack of the clones". their whole part in it was a few seconds, then we all get to see them be blown up!

    *cough*DICTATOR*cough*

was Enterprise on last night (Monday) as I was watching Father Ted so I didn't watch it and I would quite like to see this senselessly erotic program. Is it repeated at anytime at the weekend or during the week?

on relation to the large lettering for Erotic in my last post i must apologize if it offended anyone, I just felt you could not justify the eroticism with normal letters. Damn i did it again!
