Cross trainer?

The wife is looking to purchase some fitness equipment to take up the slack from lack of walking opportunities this time of year.

She has her eye on a cross trainer from Elverys or the Argos catalogue (dodgy?).

    For example: http://www.simplyfitnessequipment.co.uk/Elliptical-Cross-Trainers/V-Fit-MET2-Magnetic-Elliptical-Trainer

Anyhow I was wondering can anyone recommend a piece of equipment that would best replicate a good walk (for general fitness and muscle toning)?

Budget would in the region of €250-350 - not a lot I know but lets see.

    Hi there,

I work for a fitness equipment company, and as mentioned previously have very strong views on equipment. You get what you pay for essentially. If you're only budgeted for up €350 do not expect to get a machine that will provide much benefit. It won't have a proper resistance system, it won't have a sturdy frame, it won't have a durable weight limit, it won't be adjustable, it won't be worth your time.

Your better off waiting a few years, saving your money and getting something that won't break down in 6 months, and will provide you with benefits for life.

    Hope this helps,
