ucd. its crap, dirty, machines broken(who cares) but they let you lift without bothering you about noise or bending bars and there are loads of pitches/lights and a track/steps for sprinting

Agree with joc - UCD is rubbish. The dressing rooms are 1950s and the place is full of scruffy students and machines that are ancient or don't work or both.
It's cheap though and there's nothing in Ranelagh/Rathmines that I know of.

I know this thread's from ages ago but I'm going to have to mention a new personal trainer I'm with - David Hare at Functional Training in Ranelagh.

I swore I wouldn't have another trainer after my last one was ****** but a referral convinced me. Really nice guy which is very motivating, still knows how to push you when you need it though.

Been going a couple of months and I can't BELIEVE the difference it's made already, I feel very strong but still look feminine, and those fat pockets at the top of my thighs under my bum are shifting for the first time in my life!

Only €55 an hour which is damn reasonable, pretty sure they do physio aswell. Good for parking where he is too. Anyone can PM me for details.

    Cheers david.

The concerns people have never fail to amaze me....
Cookerj, unless Mr. Hare is giving you special tablets and a home injection kit, I wouldn't worry too much about maintaining your femininity!
