Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The Dublin Guitar Quartet at the Town Hall Theatre , Galway 28th of October

Ireland’s leading guitar quartet will bring their eclectic programme of instrumental music to the Town Hall Theatre on the 28th of October. The group will be performing Steve Reich’s incredible Electric Counterpoint and arrangements of Philip Glass’s most celebrated string quartets, Company and Mishima. They will also be performing music by legendary instrumental Irish group the Redneck Manifesto. Much of the set is realized on their extraordinary collection of classical eight and eleven-strings and electric guitars, so don’t miss this chance to hear fine ensemble playing by a quartet with a difference.

    Tickets: €15/12 conc.

This is a quartet of unusual and stimulating cast.

    Michael Dervin, Irish Times
