Hey. I know only 3 fitness centres in the Limerick. The first one is in the Univercity of Limerick. I have never been in that gym, so i can't tell you is that good or not. The second is called Crunch Fitness(I'm not sure about the proper name of that fitness). I would say that this fitness is not cheap and its located in the city centre near the Dunnes Stores. And the third fitness(that I'am visiting by myself) is MK Fitness. I'd say that this fitness is cheap enough and it has a good gym+ swimming pool+ djacuzzi+ few steam rooms and solarium. the membership in that fitness centre costs 300 euro(for student) per year or around 25 euro per month.

The University arena is top class but it packs up at night. During the day its usually quite enough. Crunch is ok but not many free weights. Dooradoyle fitness center could suit you. Dont know too much about it. Others are Grove Island in corbally , Castletroy Park Hotel and the Greenhills.

The South Court Hotel in Raheen has a gym.
Dunno what it is like to workout there but worth a visit anyway to have a look around...

I'm in JJB on Childers Road, and thats arguably the best gym in Limerick. Its very big, and has most (if not all) the equipment you need.

I've been a member of the Southcourt gym. Functional enough, but small (at least it was when I was a member 3 years ago).

More recently (before JJB), I was a member of the Castletroy Park Hotel gym. I've heard 2 different rumours about that gym recently though. The first is that its closing completely at Christmas. The second is that it is being cut in half at Christmas (they will renovate the first half while keeping the other half open). Obviously only half the equipment will be available, and they are still charging full membershp...

JJB is definitely worth a look, though...
