Definitely recorded, got email about tickets for recording a while back - probably due to the problems they had last year.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,583 ✭✭✭limerick_man

I kinda preferred recorded... its still got the spontinuity, but they only cut out the more boring bits!!!!
But so happy its back! :) ... love dara o brien, colin murphy and neil delamare!!!

Definitely recorded. I have tickets to one of the shows and it's on a Sunday so definitely a recording. Can't wait :)

a personal favourite panalist of mine is that Andrew fella, Andrew Maxwell I think is his name

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,473 ✭✭✭Roddy23

    Ye andrew maxwell, he's quality.
Himself and dara o brian, the best on tonight.
its a pity Maxwell never plays in dublin much, except on the Panel..

It hasnt lost any of its charm since the last season thank God. Maxwell was never my favourite. He does come out with some good bits but I dont like his long monolouges where the camera must only be on him while he tells some long story.

Dara, Colin and Neil are still my favourite.

I'm so delighted Fiona ****ing Looney is back

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,473 ✭✭✭Roddy23

ah I think Colin murphy is the most over rated irish comedian around, if thats even what ye could call him. I dot think he has ever made me laugh..

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 765 ✭✭✭Smurfpiss

andrew maxwell jumps on colin murphys jokes and makes them his own. he's a bit of a knob. but on to more important things, fiona looney must die yes?

Samantha mumba was a bit of a difficult interviewee no?she didnt exactly say much-came across a bit dumb?

She'll hardly come back, they just ripped the piss out of her pretty much non stop. :D

    Mine too.

Could Fiona Looney be considered the token female? She's not one bit funny, so I can't see any other reason for her being there.

Not a huge fan of maxwell, he has the odd funny joke but I find him a bit annoying at times and thought he was crap on the Liffey Laugh.

    Ugh, I hate Samantha Mumba.
Good show tonight though and thank f*ck Ed Byrne had no part to play in it :D

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,680 ✭✭✭Skyuser

was really funny when Kelly was on about Geller guy bending the spoons and signing and that Looney one goes 'he's signs the spoon!!!' instead of the usual, he bends the spoon!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,437 ✭✭✭Crucifix

I thought it was good, there were some great jokes in there.
As for Fiona Looney, I find her soothing. In this world of change, even if your life falls apart and everything seems different, you can still count on Fiona being absolutely ****.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 213 ✭✭Pjays

All i can say is that recently i've been to a good few comedy shows and all the female comedians have left alot to be desired. as for fiona looney she's not the worst compared to some of them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,082 ✭✭✭Tobias Greeshman

Was pretty funny last night, always count on Colin Murphy to take the p**** out of anything Northern Ireland related, the other two were pretty funny too. However that Fiona Looney one jaysus christ she's still brutal, I know women in general aren't funny as comedians but bring back Pauline McGlynn (or whatever her surname is -- Mrs Doyle aka Fr. Ted), she was at least a little funny!!! :D

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 28,128 ✭✭✭✭Mossy Monk

forgot about it but it was recorded for me :)

thought it was pretty good, glad to see it back

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,709 ✭✭✭BolBill

Fiona Looney, easily the UNfunniest woman on T.V. Her column in the Sunday Tribune ain't great either !!!!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 57,372 ✭✭✭✭walshb

Why is Mumba on these shows. She has to be the most hyped and pointless celeb in Ireland. All I'm hearing from her is the new album, the new album...yeh right, the one she hasn't even named, yet it's complete..then there's the 'moving to LA'.....she's been threatning that for two bloody yrs.......

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 624 ✭✭✭lazygit

how does one get tickets to this show?

The token female on the show always sounds very rehearsed (except for Mrs. Doyle but that's because she's a pro). At least the rest of the panel are spontaneous and ad lib a lot. The females are definitely reading from script. Maxwell is a twat.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,641 ✭✭✭✭Elmo

Thought it was very good last night. Fiona Looney wasn't as annoying last night.

Geri Maye is quite a good Female panelist.

Samantha Mumba was good, she was just there to be mocked like most of their guests. And Kelly wasn't as annoying as he is on his own show.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 765 ✭✭✭Smurfpiss

still at least roisin bungle wasnt on it. god i hate that twat.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,473 ✭✭✭Roddy23

    Maxwell is a twat.

Each to his own i suppose...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,583 ✭✭✭limerick_man

I really liked it yesterday... Fiona or whatever, stayed quiet and didnt get in the way, but when she said something.. it was funny!
    Surprised Kelly was good!!!!
Samantha Mumba is an actor and a singer .... um, shes both an actor and a singer, theres two reasons to be famous! She made a No.1 in the US and throughout the EU... so shes not a pointless celeb, she has done alot!
Anyway... it turns out that the UK is safer, thanks to the IRA... how come that aint in the news?? LOL

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 354 ✭✭RefulgentGnomon

I thought the 'iProd' picture was genius!
And when they were talking about the IRA's inventory, the bit about the brick instead of an air missile!
I always seem to forget most of it the next day though!
That Fiona Looney doesn't deserve to be on it, when she says something it's obvious no one wants to listen. They just took the piss with ,Samantha Mumba, they were laughing at Dunnes Stores and she even joined in!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,353 ✭✭✭radiospan

I was expecting it to be longer, I know it was the usual length, but I was expecting a third guest the whole time.

Good episode, especially the start the Eddie Hobbs/IRA bits were some of the good ones.

Colin Murphy and Dara O'Briain are still streets ahead of the others though, IMHO.

I agree should be just these two on the show

No,because andrew maxwell and neil delamare sparks off colin murphy! and dara is just great
    They are a great team!

She's more famous for been famous at this stage, than for acting or miming. She is a dull pointless celebrity who should **** off.

If that was the case, most celebrities would be f*****g off with her - as you so nicely put it.
Shes not at every opening of enveloe and she has just finished a film so she is doing something to hold on to her celebrity status as opposed to appearing on some reality programme.
I never though i would waste time defending sm but....sheez....the venom.

Daz reeeeiight. And she even has her own line of Dunnes Stores underwear and her own stage school! I for one eagerly await her new range of home-pregnancy testing products.

She must have gone to the Krusty the Klown school of merchandising.

She's a pointless talentless shil of a celeb, who's only presence on The Panel was to shift product.

I have to say that we are all being a bit unfair to samantha. I mean its not like she is Jordan or a ronan keating. She actually does have a bit of talent.

and IMO the comments are just the usual Irish Begrugery.

You used to be able to get them on the RTE website. But there is no mention of them there at the moment!

Went last year to Vicar Street and you couldn't bring drink into the hall. Was good though

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,175 ✭✭✭angeldelight

I got my tickets after responding to an ad they'd placed on nixers.com about a month and a half ago

did anyone know about New Ireland? I thought they were just having a laugh, but then I googled it and yeah, it's true, it's hilarious!

Er Maxwell, if you're gonna insist on staring into the camera - you might wanna consider wiping your blatantly running nose beforehand. Just a thought.

Not a great show - last week's was hysterical I thought, this one just felt a bit...formulaic?
