In the UK I Came across an isotonic sports drink called

“TAUT isotonic” they state that their drink is:

    WITHOUT any E-NUMBERS
WITHOUT any PRESERVATIVES / ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS / FLAVOURS / COLOURS

http://www.taut.co.uk/ have a look at their
webpage for nutritional information and ingredients.

Which seems to be a good step forwards,
in comparison to some other sports drinks.

Did anybody see the product in any shop here in Ireland?

At the show where I saw the product, I got told that
Taut is probably not yet in Ireland available, he wasn’t to sure.

sorry but water is an isotonic sports drink free from all that aswell. Their drink that they hype is only spring water, 5% glucose and vit b6...
I wouldn't rate it, why not just drink 300ml of water and a sip of orange juice instead, you'll get the same stuff.
If you do want to try it www.supplement-warehouse.co.uk I don't think any shops will have it over here.

    Yeah,

I saw that, probably at the same fitness expo. Wasn't impressed with it, I mean there is water as Mickk says so. At this time I have no plans to retail it here.

    Mickk,
I’m curious about the various flavours/tastes, as I don’t take any other softdrinks with E’s etc. rather mix water and some juice for flavour as you mentioned, possibly adding some honey or fruit spread for sweetness.

    Boru,
did you see the drink in Birmingham at the LIW? I was the first time there, to get an idea what is it like and see what possible trends might swap over to Ireland at some stage.

Yup, in Birmingham it was. I saw a few interesting things, that Star Fitness will, (hopefully) be bringing into the Irish Market...it was one of the better shows. Had I known we could have met up  What did you think? Were their any particular items you thought were good?

The major things that caught my intrest were the grappler, balance boards, and a few of the others, but they'd be my favs. Great Lat workout! :)

I actually like snapple as a flavoured water. It has 12% fruit juice, no preservatives or e numbers and only natural fllavours... It is not marketed as an isotonic but it will do the same job, especially as taut has no salt...
When I am training I like ultra fuel which has high carbs, 100g per drink.

    Mickk,
“Snapple” heard about it before but never tried it. I might give it a go and try it. I heard, read that the salt helps to assists with the absorption, beside adding some minerals and that you would need a lot of salt to add that it makes a difference, which change the taste to the ….

Does anybody have any idea how much salt you would need, so that it makes a difference?

Any E-numbers, preservatives in “ultra fuel” and where can you get it?

I think it's 1-1.5 g of salt per 1 litre of water to help retain fluids. I sell ultra fuel in my shop on Camden St. Its called The Supplement Store and its right beside flannerys. Its 25 euro for 4lb and comes in orange and fruit punch.
