Im really not a fan of milk, the thought of drinking it almost makes me sick.
What would be best to drink instead of it.
I was thinking of like chocolate Milk(Avonmore) or something like that
    Has anybody got other suggestions?

    Thanks

    Absolutely.
You should start trying the different Soya Milks and maybe Rice Milk.
Both are lovely although Rice is more expensive.
Once i got into Soya milk i've never looked back. Dairy Milk smells gross and goes off too quick.

I switched to Soya in the last week and I LOVE it!! I bought lots of different ones in Tescos to see which I liked best. At first I found it really watery/bitter so I liked the sweetened one best but after getting used to this I like non-sweetened more. Anyhoos I started my taste tests with Alpro - the one with a blue lid in the fridges(there's a few on the shelves too but they're too expensive at €2+) this one is sweetened and nice and creamy, then I tried Tesco Organic sweetened - just as good as the Alpro and a few cent cheaper. For non sweetened Tesco have an Organic one and a normal brand one. I thought the normal one would be muck but it's just as good as the Organic one is almost a euro cheaper at 94c!! I'd avoid the Avonmore choc stuff because it's so sugary and I think I read on Boards that it's v.fatty! Also with soya you can stock up because it has a long shelf life and it's more refreshing than dairy milk so you don't have to worry abt it going off before you open it!

as jman0 and tk123 I drink sojamilk as well, tried various brands over the last 4 years and couldn’t go back to milk either, the taste doesn’t appeal at all to me anymore.

Most health food stores have various soja milk brands and the supermarkets catch up as well recently, e.g. try Nourish either in Liffey street or Wicklow street in case you are based in Dublin.

Tried Rice Milk once and for me it seemed to watery, maybe I should give it another go.

As tk123 said, prices vary a bit, therefore shopping around is definitely worth while.

Er, why drink it at all, then? I don't. (I also have a phobia of cheese)

With this being the fitness board, I'd assume it has something to do with protein intake.

If you need calcium and don't like milk, why not just take those calcium supplement pill things? I'm not much of a milk-drinker myself, so my mom is always trying to get me to take those....

    :)
