Wes is gonna be sweet (but hopefully still realistic!) in it! :) Couldn't just give him 20 for everything, so took a starting point of last years data and modified away, but it can still be changed by more people in ireland before it gets there tho. So don't blame me! ;)

What does everyone think? I'm quite happy with it myself. Like the new main manager screen, its a lazy mans contraption but hey, I'm a lazy guy!

demo looks good, team talks are a bit iffy though, not too much options and i can see some of the options being like the fine for no reason thing, to be used only as you are about to resign hehe

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,326 ✭✭✭Zapp Brannigan

The fine for no reason has always been in the series.

Yeah, but it's pointless, like some of the team talk options :)

Its good if you want to get rid of a player and he wont sign for another team.

But I agree on the Team Talk, once again SI have rushed a feature in. I can only hope it'll be upgraded by a patch sometime in the future.

    ***STUPID QUESTION ALERT***

Do you need to have any previous games already installed to play the demo version?

What sort of features are left out of the demo version?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,117 ✭✭✭✭MrJoeSoap

No you dont need previous games installed.

The Gold/Strawberry versions are limited to a few leagues and 6 months. All (I think) of the features are included. The game is out next Friday if you can't get around to downloading it.

players who just need their stats to be upped are of coure
Colin Hawkins - best center half at the mo (iffy season this one tho)
    Mick devine
    Pat McCourt
Lee Roache - Watch he'll hit england (like kevin doyle)
    Kevin Doyke (i Know they leave ireland and stats go up 5 fold){WHY???}
    Wes (true)
    Richie B (hotheaded little biznitch)
    and many more

pity the demo had no EL, i find it hard to play in the Prem so for me the demo was a little bit of a draw back, but it did handle and look very nice, as similiar as it is to fm05 its little tweeks are very nice, better have EL facepacks full (i got bray, drogs, shels, longford??? last year {i've lost them don't ask} but no rovers and as a hoop it hurt, so bad)

Agree with all the above, would like to add:

    Mark Farren
    Killian Brennan
    Liam Kearney
    Keith Fahey

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,956 ✭✭✭✭Villain

Liam Kearney? Is he any good used to work with his bro.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,117 ✭✭✭✭MrJoeSoap

Definitely has his moments. Did well for Cork in the league and Europe this year.

Had a disgraceful haircut for a while though.

I think it was him they call the "Connemaradonna".

class, why is it when el players go abroad they seem to gain a new level of stats? richie with N.E.R. prime example i bet hes bad in this game, just because he's back in EL, maybe cork and shels will be good in this one after their european runs,

also is it just me or does the EL seem so just randomise who'll be good ever year? point in case: I'm top with SRFC, Finn Harps are 2nd Cork are bottom and shels are the wrong side of mid table, utters trash! in CM4 shels went down and stayed down, (i got peeved with not playing against them so i took over man u and "donated" 10 mil to Ollie Byrne (rewarding his hooligan antics, lol)

I have played up to as far as i can in the demo. there isnt much different but the things that are different are good. Like the team talk at half time and full time :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,693 ✭✭✭tHE vAGGABOND

everyone getting the game on Friday :D

I presume everyone knows that there shall be a patch on or very soon after release. There are a number of things in it that make a big difference to the game, thanks to the feedback we have recieved from the demo!

Could you expand on 'a number of things'? Does anyone know of a patch or update for FM2005 to update all players signed this season?
