are you aiming for? I know its not even October yet but Im nosy!

Id be delighted with over 500 but Im trying to work towards higher-it motivates me and keeps me from daydreaming too much.

Id love anything over 450 but if i got below that i would be disapointed and the most i can get is 560 (2 pass subjects). Oh god no, why am i thinkin about points already, if i get into what i want ill be happy *goes to search for courses that are less then 100 points*

Wow ye're a smart lot aren't ye?! I'm aiming for around 450, need 445 to do Communications in DCU! I'm doing all honours except for maths, need to get grinds for irish and french though... not looking forward to that!

only in 5th year now, want 590 or 600. if things dont go as i expect ill be happy enough with about 550.

Yeah true there does seem to be alot oh high points appearing but its best to aim high and be ambitious.

My first choice is either UCD or Limerick, I'm not sure yet. Probably UCD because I really want to study for a semester or so in America

oh my god i feel so dumb compared to all of you aiming for 450-600, i mean id love to get that much but im aiming for about 350+ for some course in business studies or account, might still change my mind but i mean you guys musn't get out much if your aiming for 450+....

I get out plenty actually. Isnt really that hard tbh to get 450+ if you are genuinely willing to put the work in.

Yeah! Thats is absolute crap. :mad:

My english teacher keeps saying that to us. Hes an examiner too and he says that before he even corrects any of the scripts he knows how many A's he is going to give out and he is the fairest man ever.

I twisted my ankle and have missed out on two days of school - that is a lot! I need 555 (yeh right) will settle for over 450......i hope im not aiming to high!

Last year I only missed 2 days of school in the hole year, and this year I have not missed one day yet. I was ment to be going to Cyprus on monday for 2 weeks but I pulled out of going because I felt that I would miss too much school.

aiming for 600 obviously. Need 540 + as my course goes up by 5-10 points every year so I really need about 560....barely hit 300 in my Leaving last year so it's a big ask...but I've seen what people can do....my mate didn't do any work in 5th year but worked his ass off from day one in 6th years and came out with 540. Whoever says you'll tire yourself out from putting shed loads of work in from the start is wrong. Balance yourself right and you'll be fine.

is it not that they just adjust the marking scheme based on how many A's etc theyre getting from the first batch? like, if everyones doing too well they mark harder, and vice versa.

i think thats sorta more fair, if the exam is too easy and youre not marked harder, you dont really deserve the A, no?

anyways, i need 505 i think, id be frickin ecstatic with hat, but my 2nd choice course is 380, and i would be equally happy with that..

Aiming for UCD TheoPhys, been around 430/440 for the past few years. Would love to get 550 though, that'd get me a scholarship.

Aiming for 600. I want to do medicine, I would love to get RCSI LC scholarship/Trinity...or, well, anywhere that I can do medicine tbh. I've applied to the UK aswell. Fingers crossed and all that..

I needs me summit' around 500 points, but 600 wouldn't go amis (not that I'm any where near such goals at the moment, but ya can always dream... untill the points come back to us and were like 'aw crap' but then again, with enough halucinagens...)

The course I want to do is 310, needs a B2 in Maths, so if I dont get that I head to Cork only needing 300 points.

Im fairly sorted, and well able to get about 450 by just doing minimum study..but the mocks will sort me out.

i aimed too high points wise, (505) got 410; luckily im happy in my second choice (which was only 270!)..my advice is to make sure there's an alternative course u wouldnt mind doin, so that u dont have to repeat..there is such a wide range of course these days, cant believe its 3 years since i was in your position!!
