Eh....for that price its grand...I suppose.

If you're looking to get a good spinning bike I'd go with something by Kettler. They're intro model retails about €700. Its beautiful. If you want I could arrange for you to try one.

    No probs.

Body sculptor is okay, I've sold some of thier equipment in the past, mostly weight sets, and other fitness accessories. I like thier punch man alot. Its very cool.

To be honest I haven't tried the bike you linked to. That siad I haven't had a problem with much of their equipment. I know people who have spent only 299 on one of the worst crosss trainers I have ever seen and one I personally would never touch - and they love it, use it and have gotten great results.

If you think you will get good use out of it go for it. That said I'm reminded of an old salesman analogy.

A salesman is talking to one of his best clients who always buys the cheapest stuff the sales man has. Alhtough its good stuff it breaks down 6 times quicker than the most expensive model. So the customer phones up and gives out to the salesman. The salesman calmly asks where the customer lives. He gives his address and the salesman says, "that's not a cheap area is it?" He asks what car he drives. "Its not a cheap car is it?" Well you get the idea. Finally the salesman says "If you treat yourself to the best why aren't you doing the same for your business?" The customer only ever bought the best lines after that.

Now its a very silly sales story I know. That said it does raise a point I wish more people appreciated. You can buy cheap equipment. That's what Argos is for, but it often doesn't have the feel, quality, guarentee etc that the more expensive models do. People all too often do themselves a diservice and never get the best for themselves, they settle for something they have to force themselves to use, instead of something they're excited about using.

With exercise machines this means they go in with an attitude of well I don't want to pay that much if its going to end up gathering dust. If you already think that well, 9 times out of 10, that's exactly what happens. Its the wrong attitude. They should be thinking that they are going to enjoy doing this so much they are going to be using it non stop so they better buy the best they can get so that it gets the most out of them and so they can do the best workout possible.

Then again, I work for a fitness equipment company so I would say this :D
