High white blood cell count

I have a high white blood cell count, at 10, 500. The normal count should be between 4,000 and 10,000. Should I worry about this? Apparently, it could be an infection, but I feel fine, although I have been shedding a lot of hairs over the past few months. Could both events be related?

Did you not get the tests done thru your GP - in which case they should discuss the results with you...

You should really not seek medical advice on a fitness board, see a doctor.
