Hi I’m hoping for some help and advice I’m trying to loose weight and get fit I have tried weight watchers, calorie counting and generally watching what I eat unfortunately I have not had a lot of success the weight just isn’t moving.

I’m also conscious that I’m not getting enough exercise I get out for an hours walk about 3 times a week I’m 4 foot 10 and about 18 and ½ stone general food intake is

11:00 am 2 slice of brown bread cup of coffee

1 pm a sandwich with ham and cheese + Tea or Coffee

Then at about 8 pm dinner chicken, carrots, peppers and brown rice

Typically I’d have more tea or coffee through out the day

Any help you might be able to offer would be really fantastic
I really don’t want to risk and injury

    Thanks

One thing I'd advise is drinking nothing but water and skimmed milk. I don't drink anything with caffeine or sugar anymore other than occasionally having a diet Coke(maybe 1 can every 2 weeks). It'll make you feel so much better afterwards.

The thing I found is that I never stuck to a way of eating long enough for it to have any effect on me. You should just try a realistic way of eating and stay on it for at least a month or 2.

Thinking that you'll be able to lose weight healthily by just eating less and not exercising properly is just fooling yourself. I used to do that and I'd starve myself. I'd walk a lot and think that because I was walking I didn't need to bother exercising. I always put the weight straight back on. You need to exercise. It'll be easier to maintain a healthy weight if you're doing exercise. It is recommended that you do about 30 minutes of moderate exercise 3 times a week. You could take up a sport like tennis with a friend. Having a friend will be a good motivator. Motivation is the key. Set yourself realistic goals, eg. losing 1 stone by christmas. Think of your goal while you exercise. If you don't want to go to the gym an alternative to gong to aerobics classes would be a decent exercise video.
