Well, today was my first day back, but it wasn't really a school day because it was out in the IT in Tallaght and it was an Induction Day where they told us a lot of stuff we already knew about 4th year. Thankfully it was only till 1pm and then my friends and I just went to the cinema. So tomorrow I guess is my first "real" school day back.

I'm already back, and it's killing me. I had the Worst. Day. Ever. Instead of Spanish and construction studies, I got tech. drawing and french. They weren't even my second choices! And my new class is really mean...(that wasn't all that happened, but I wont bore you all) *reaches blindly for comforting hug*

Well, as it's an all-boys school, I'm not sure that arguement works so well...

    School != good.

Went in for about two hours today. Did nothing but sit in a classroom (the entire year, yes) and be told about the joys of transition year and the timetable.

We're doing a bellydancing class on Thursday.

Oh joyous heart of mine ON A MEATHOOK.

    Wow that was emo.

But yeah, so far, the class are immensely unenthusiastic about... well, everything. Gotta love that transition year spirit.

Got my Transition Year timetable today, on Friday we've got TRIPLE Speech and Drama, triple Art and double Computers. Oh and French and Irish. Score!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,264 ✭✭✭JBoyle4eva

I actually went back yesterday and so it wasn't a bad day. my timetable was a bit of bother. Went to the principal as Tech Drawing and Business were on @ same time and was planning on doing both. So, he said there's nothing he could do so I've given up Tech Drawing & Engineering, and started Phys-Chem, Home Ec and Ag science

Wow! That sounds like the best school day ever (except for Irish)! I especially like the triple Speech & Drama.
We're doing a bellydancing class on Thursday.

That seems like something that school shouldn't teach.

Yes, leave it at that, do not ask questions. It will make your head hurt.

Oh god school.....all this talk of timetables is making me feel that familiar monday morning nausea. And I still have 5 days of summer left(thank god) Maybe I should have just left school and gone to work in aldi. At least then I'd have more than 3c in my purse.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,767 ✭✭✭Hugh Hefner

Oh god! School starts in an hour and a half. It really does feel like a school morning right now. Wait, is there a horrible, overcast sky? *Looks left* Why yes there is! :(

Oh I'm sure it's fine, but the parents are all like 'Grr! Study!' and seeing as alot of my friends are in Exam years this year I wont be seeing much of them :(

    I stand beaten :( .

I don't really known why i'm back so late. The rest of the school is all back, just the TYs who aren't. We'll probably have to pay for this during thr year at Easter or some mid term break.
    You get nothing for nothing.

I pretty much relaxed last year when I did the JC. I only studied 2 - 3 weeks before each exam (mocks and JC) and I got decent results in the mocks so you will be fine and you will have a social life dont be daft :)

*BIG GROAN* We've already started macbeth in english and we took down at least two pages of notes today.....And we're only on the second scene. I think the LC will be hard.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,767 ✭✭✭Hugh Hefner

Yuk. I hated Macbeth. I honestly think you should ask to switch to a different play. I suggest A Midsummer Night's Dream or another Comedy. Not big on the tragedies myself. They're very good if you're watching them acted out but just reading them in class will make you want to have nothing to do with them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,584 ✭✭✭Diarmsquid

Doesn't really have a choice if the whole class is doing it together.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,767 ✭✭✭Hugh Hefner

Well obviously the whole class would change. I think the class would agree to it.
