Right, now that's out of the way I'd be interested in hearing the event(s) you'd like to avoid when it comes time to meet your maker.

Personally the #1 thing I want to avoid is for a jumbo jet plane to crash on top me while I'm inside a building. Something about the idea of hearing it but not being able to see it coming freaks me out.

So what's your #1 way that you don't wanna die?

Possibly a heartattack while making passionate love to a gorgeous woman, that would be a funny way to go. Another honorable death would be dieing while saving someone else usually a hot chick.

i'd have to go for an attack from white shark , or maybe the whole 9/11 option...u know, having the option of burning to death or jumping out the window of a skyscraper THEN only for the building to collapse around u and take away ur 2 options....that'd fix u good

also been fired upon - small arms and HMG and once by artillery rounds 155mm HE (not a nice feeling)

I came very close to drowning once (lungs had filled with water) when I flipped a canoe and couldn't right it. It was actually incredibly peaceful. No fear of it at all...

Personally my own most feared would be fire or anything involving torture...

I nearly drowned in a SCUBA diving accident a few years back. It's really something I'd like to avoid in future. It was pitch black, icy cold, and very frightening.

I do keep haivng a recurring dream where I die in an aeroplane crash very shortly after take off

You're going to hell for that one.... I'm not really afraid of dying. I mean, as the OP said, it's going to happen some day. The less pain and fannying about the better. Tbh I'd be more scared of surviving some horrific life changing injury, such as a double traumatic amputation of both my legs, I wouldn't like that very much. I don't much relish the prospect of being burned to death. What a morbid thread. If it was spectacular, fast, caught on camera and I wasn't in any danger of recieving a Darwin Award then it's all good. For example, this user walks into a building innocently enough and it's my bad luck that it explodes seconds later in the biggest gas explosion ever, and it all got caught on tape, now that's how I'd wanna go.

Who fired on you with 155mm HE and why are you still here? Were you in the Leb or something with the PDF? I'm in the Reserves and we've done one live-fire exercise, now that's exhilerating! Just back from a two week exercise up against the PDF 5th Inf Btn and the rush I get from being in a pretty realistic combat situation is better than sex, I swear! Allumes, GPMG fire, thunder-flashes, the new .5 firing over our heads for effect on LIVE FIRE I might add... Loving it. Tar, gotta love the dying in battle thing. You get terminally wounded and left for the enemy to find, make sure you take the pin out of a grenade and lie down on the lever! Take as many of the fvckers with you as possible I say! Hehehehe. I took out a whole PDF platoon last Wednesday night with the MAG on a TEZ exercise. Just thinking about it gets the adrenaline pumping again.
