I am going to burn in Hell for this.

Waiting for the bus on quays last week I saw yet another mugging.

The guy next to me was listening to his ipod (White earphones dur dur). He must have taken it out to change the song or something cause next thing I know he had it ripped out of his hands by an oppertunistic passer buy who legged it.
The ipod guy was pretty fat and didn't look the most atheletic in word but he was mad as hell understandably and bolted after him.

Ok I admit it I am an asshole. This is a crappy thing to laugh at but the sheer slapstick of this moment was too much. As the ipod guy was taking off after el-scumo his leg caught the strap of my gym bag. He managed a sort of half step before tripping over and bouncing his face off a parked car and slumping on the ground. There were only one or two people about but I couldn't go over to help him as I was trying to surpress the laughter.
I was so bad I had to wait until he had picked his self up and unwrapped my bag from his leg before I could go over and claim it.
His glasses were broken and his ipodless earphones were hanging from his ears and all I could thing of was how funny it was the way he fell.

My question to you boards people, have you ever laughed very hard at something you definatly shouldn't have..

Yes I have. Last Sunday night we (my friends) were all out. One of the girls has just split with her bf and seems to have formed a bit of a drink problem. Anyway, she was drunk and spotted these cute guys a few tables over. So she decides it would be a great idea to bust a few moves and get their attention. While moving from her chair she thought that straddling the tall chair would be a good idea and make her look sexy and low and behold the tool toppled over and went smack on the ground in a position I could only describe like as if she was doing a snow angel (if you get me??) Anyway we all were too creased up laughing to help her and I’m sorry if it was bad but we actually couldn’t physically get up coz we were laughing so much. And yes the guys did notice her but not how she had planned.

And ronoc you're still an asshole. There's a piece of scum out there right now who's one iPod richer. If Apple made a deadly toxin coating for iPods which was deadly to anyone's skin but you're own, I'd probably buy ten of them . Though that might be a bit like the old Irish tale about the guy who got 3 wishes from an angel and one of the wishes was to have that coating on his apple tree :rolleyes: Meh I'm content to wander the Earth a lost soul as long as scum die slow deaths

I did that in Irish, that was good though, yer man got three wishes from Death, he was made the greatest doctor in the world the greatest poker player in the world abd that coating on his apples and he kept out smarting Death and god and stuff, twas good!

Tbh people falling over in general is funny and sometimes the more inappropriate it is the funnier it is, like a priest falling over during mass or someone falling off a stage when going up to collect an award.

But a guy getting mugged and then falling, I dunno? I think the sight of seeing someone getting mugged would probably stop me from finding it funny. but then again, you never know, it could trigger a nervous laugh or something.

I agree. Ronoc is not a dick. I remember my dad and I were playing basketball. He got past me jumped up and laced the ball at the net but it came back and hit him in the face. I pissed myself laughing And face kickers post is the funniest post ever

Sorry, I thought the OP was funny too, I just can't help but laugh, just the thought of it is funny and if I was the guy who was robbed I would be cracking up in a years time too. Sure looking back now I have to laugh at the time the phone started ringing and I raced my mam to get it and ran into our hallway door and started bawling on the ground with a big dent in my hand, the phone still rining and all. I always find my misfortunes hilarious. Even in poker I tell someone what cards I have and he says "ok, well I'll call anyway because I feel bad for winning the last hand against you" when he calls he hits 1 of his only outs and I lose.

In fairness there are times when for whatever reason, you can't help laughing even though its a situation when you shoudln't. Someone i know started laughing his head off at a funeral. This didn't mean that he was happy to see the deceased six feet under.

Yeah, i mean, its ok to laugh when people do stupid things, a couple of years ago a guy in our school tried jumping over a wall with a 6ft drop on the other side, he didn't quite make it and tripped over and fell the 6ft, everyone gasped etc... but we started laughing AFTER we knew he was ok.

2: prob would have held it in at the time, poor geezer had his ipod stolen and his glasses broken. not sure if i would be strong enough to tho. then would spend the following week telling anyone that would listen whilst laughing harder each time.
