Curious that it seems doubly legit (no request for money or secure information). Are you sure you didn't enter this draw? :D

Oh wait, didn't see the yahoo email address at the bottom

TBH, if a person is greedy enough to try claim a prize in a draw they never entered, they deserve to be scammed.

Its probably a premium number. There was a similar scam like this in Ireland/Dublin.

It's just a variation on the 419 scam. Need bank details and copy of passport/etc.
TBH, if a person is greedy enough to try claim a prize in a draw they never entered, they deserve to be scammed.

Which is how most scams work. You believe you are getting something for nothing.

I was sent this too. Its a load of Bull. Only difference is that I got it from a yahoo address.

reply and see what details they want....if they want a bank ac then tell them u need to set one up....then only give them half the info ....keep stringing them along

Sooner or later they'll want an administrative fee, to be sent by Western Union cash transfer!

Tell them you've sent it, and send them on a wild goose chase. Do this several times until they get very upset with you. Then do it again for good measure. I have an anonymous pre-paid mobile phone number that I have sometimes given them. They actually do call! That really costs them especially if they're calling from Nigeria or wherever!

Whatever you do, don't supply any information that might identify yourself. These people are genuine criminals, with associates in Ireland. You don't want to get tracked down and hurt!

Apart from the dodgy sentence structure, that email is almost believable... until we get to the yahoo email part :(

Coming to think of it, I never get any of these so I'm gonna ressurect an old email account and try and claim my prize :)

What, was fiduciary_agent226 gone? I have absolutely no sympathy for anyone that falls for anything remotely like this. Even just reading the email and looking at the spelling and grammatical errors should give you some kind of inkling. And people think there's no point in learning to spell properly. The only reason this kind of thing still exists on the internet is because people are actually stupid (and greedy) enough to fall for them.

on that scambuster site, with the vicar IV reverse scam he actually got the scammers to send money the other way to prove that western union were not at fault, which the guy then donated to cancer research, just to give the scammers that warm feeling :D .

Should see the responses that he got from the scammers
    http://www.scambuster419.co.uk/reactions.htm :D

he even got one of the scammers to meet him in a place that put the gut in full view of a webcam in central london

It's hardly new. These have been going around for 2-3 years minimum.
