Its hard to follow the NHL at all over here when its not featured on tv at all. Other north american sports such as American Football and Basketball are featured on Sky Sports but NHL and MLB isnt featured at all.

I think Ice Hockey is a great sport but its hard to get into it when its not featured over here at all.

How do you manage to follow it? Oh by the way I presume they have sorted out the issue with the players salaries now that last season was cancelled because of.

Maybe I'm on my own here but i can NEVER see the bloody puck! I'd be watching one player and suddenly three passes will have benn made, a goal scored and I'm still watching d first dude! Would love to get into it but never can.

    Also what Kingp35 said.

not expecting much from them thou.
not sure on the latest transfers.as someone said its hard keeping up to date and being an internet supporter.
its always hard to predict winners as each season always throws up surprises

I'm a huge fan of ice hockey, my favorite sport.

I used to live in US, so you obviously talk a LOT more about it over there.
I saw a NJ devil vs Montreal match. Brodeur all the way!!!!!

Is there a place in Dublin, where i can play some roller hockey or something?
    URL's would be great too

edit: heres a team in dublin:http://www.iol.ie/~smeaton/dcriot/indexriot.htm
they used to have another site last time i checked which was 1 year ago, so i assume this is new because not all the links work.

    They seem pretty hardcore though

Im a Canucks fan all the way and therefore I regret to say it but My moneys on the Flames this year. I hadn't heard anything on Bertuzzi gettin back, is he? Lets hope so, Naslund can't pull the team through by himself.

I don't think Kariya will help the preds, in that he has no top-class partner to play with.
Brodeur is the worlds best goalie so unless he screws up big time he's a safe bet for goalie of the season.
And Sidney Crosby has too much pressure on him to deliver, give him a year to see how he copes.

Yes, Big Bad Bert has been cleared to play again by the NHL. He was skating with Team Canada in their Olympic camp last week, in fact.

It will be interesting to see if the Canuck's top line of Naslund/Bertuzzi/Morrison will work as well as it did previously.

Can you believe I have been in DCU for 3 years now and I didnt know we had a inline Hockey team that train in the college. I will definitely be checking this out when I go back next week.

Oh by the way is there any website where you can download highlights of the NHL? Thanks

What they said. Ever since NHL 97 on the Sega (!) it's a sport I've been interested in, but it's impossible to follow over here. At best you could get the results on teletext, but even with Sky Digital it never seems to be on
