    Hi there.

My girlfriend is looking for some Cardio Kickboxing / Taebo Classes in Dublin? Somewhere around the Southside or the City Centre would suit best.

    Anyone know of anywhere ?

Gosh i don't think anyone is running them any more
I used to teach them in crunch in dun laoghaire but the only place that would do anything similar would be the kickboxing class in westwood gym leopardstown (open to non-members).

Tae-bo videos are still excellent but there is nothing like a good well run class

I do cardio/aerobic kickboxing classes two evenings a week in Ballyfermot - South West of Dublin. The Civic centre - which is new - on a Monday from 7-8pm and down on the main road in a school hall, I think it's St. Dominicks hall - on a Wednesday from 8-9pm. It's women only!!

It's really tough, I trained in Tae Kwon Do for a few years but this is burnout, and its an hour each class.

€65 for the first month, then €45 each month after that. I've been doing it sinse Jan this year and my arms have become really strong.

There is a ten minute Pilates session at the end of each class which is also tough, then some relaxation and breathing to relax the heart and bring the breath back to normal.

It is fun, and it really does keep you fit. You will need trainers, water, a towel, a Yoga/pilates mat, and boxing gloves for hitting pads etc. you can purchase them from the instructer if any difficulties getting them

Clive is the man's name, he also teaches TKD and his number is 0872884844 he is a pretty good instructer too.

    Hope that helps. :)

I work in the city centre and I'm trying to get fit ,do martial arts and the only time I have is between 2pm and 3pm weekdays,.

I see that the wild geese martial arts club between 2pm and 3pm have private classes. Probably expensive though. I was wondering does anyone know of maybe a club that has group classes between 2pm and 3pm week days such as a group kickboxing, kempo.. class , something that involves breaking a sweat, getting fit and learning.

    Thanks for the emphatic link!

Yes, we do have "Privae training" up on the site, however we are open to negotiation.
I'm in the club most days around that time, and while I'm no kickboxer, I have a long history of martial arts and fitness training.
Coming in around 2 would mean I simply extend the lunchtime sessions, unless I've something booked in.

    Drop by for a chat.

    Regards
