    Anyone going to it this year?

    Neary sure its on in Vicar street in september and tickets available on line via ticketmaster.

    Not always great standard (getting much better) but great fun.

    I'll be going, I went last year and it was good enough. I plan on competing in it next year...

    I hadnt actually heard about it to be honest but i was wondering what kind of level these lads are at?Is it very competitive?And how many people compete at it?

    Some Irish bodybuilders are excellent. The standard is obviously not up to top NPC level, but alot of them have very good physiques and when you see them in person they are very impressive. There weren't more than 10 guys competing in the open classes I'd say, but there were plenty between all the classes (first timers, novices, intermediates as well).

    No, as I said in another thread they do themselves no favours with promotion. There should be a NABBA.ie etc. It tends to be incestuous between the few bbing gyms in town like Unique Physique etc...
