gym suggestion

membership is due to expire at Crunch Fitness (in UCD)
I don't really want to renew it there because i don't have a very high opinion of the place.
So i guess i'll be looking for another gym.
    Anybody have any suggestions?
What i want in a gym:
    -treadmills
    -stepmills
    -freeweights
    -plenty of machines
    -no queues (dream on eh?)
    - no swimming pools - i don't use them an don't want to pay for one.

I've seen flyers for Westwood, i might have a peak but i don't think they are very near to me.
I live Rathmines and work near UCD.
Would be going to gym immediately after work (5-6pm). Right now Crunch is quiet enough but as soon as the school year kicks off it'll be crazy busy and i rarely get the opportunity for freeweights. I'd like to improve this situation specifically.

    Any suggestions?

I actually just joined Carlisle on Saturday.Ive been stuck out in DCU the last four years but Carlisle is alot handier now since its close to home and i have to say i was very impressed.

Plenty of free weights, plenty of benches, plenty of machine weights and cardio machines so no matter what your into it should suit you.One of my friends is and instructor in there and he says it can get very busy during the post work rush but he says its usually still fine if your doing free weights rather than machines(which is what most people seem to go for).

The only problem for you would be it might not be the handiest for straight after work(seeing as your out near UCD).

the phone number for the carlisle is 465 4040. When you ring they'll make an appointment for you there and then to come down have a look and if you bring your gear you can have a work out as well (they let me do that anyways!)
They have a pool down there which is great. I didn't join because I couldn't afford it at the time but had I the cash I defintely would.
Also if you're working out near UCD the 17 bus (goes from belfield) passes right outside it. Or you can take any bus into town and get the 15A out - it's right near the KCR between Terenure and Kimmage.
    That's the lot I think!

19A goes right by it too.Just get off straight after the KCR crossroads and walk towards crumlin(up kimmage road) and its on your right you cant miss it its only maybe twenty metres after the bus stop.Thats for the 19A and the 15A.Same stop.Probably the 17 too.
    Good luck.

Is that the place on the 2nd or 3rd floor with large windows looking out onto the street?
