    Hello.

Ive just installed debian using the net install. I selected desktop enviroment.
This is supposed to install kde and gnome apparently. After rebooting, I get a command line.

    How do I start kde?

Try startx on the command line to start the X server, and then edit the inittab file (perhaps in /etc) and change the line id:X:initdefault: (where X is a number) to id:5:initdefault:
